The program modules include a query receiving module to receive a search query from a user, a query analyzing module to analyze the received search query and determine a content of interest associated with the search query and associated content associated with the content of interest. Also include are a search module to search for the content of interest and associated content associated with the content of interest in the database, a sorting module to sort the search results retrieved by the search module according to the number of times that the search has been conducted before, and a result presenting module to present the sorted search results according to a screen size of the display.

Abstract: A computerized method determines similarities between a first image and a second image. The first image is converted into a first grayscale image, and the second image is converted into a second grayscale image, where a number of pixels of the second image is not less than a number of pixels of the first image. Each pixel of the first grayscale image is matched with a pixel of the second grayscale image to create a pixel pair sequence. A similarity value indicating the similarities between the first image and the second image is calculated according to the grayscale value of each pixel in the pixel pair sequence S.

Abstract: A method for realizing a dual operation mode liquid crystal display device includes: (1) providing a liquid crystal display device, which includes a clock control chip having an enabling terminal electrically connected to an enabling signal source that has high-level and low-level output signals; (2) the enabling signal source selectively transmitting high-level and low-level output signals to the enabling terminal to cause the liquid crystal display device to selectively enter first and second operation modes, in which the display panel displays data transmitted through a data bus or image data internally loaded in the clock control chip; and (3) controlling the enabling signal source to switch between high-level and low-level output signals so as to control, via the enabling terminal, the display panel to switch between the first and second operation modes.

When the image processing device 1 defines a pixel point as a non-boundary point of the image, the image processing device 1 continues to search for a boundary point from predetermined pixel points until all boundary points have been found unless it is determined that the image does not include an object.

Abstract: The present invention provides a tape substrate with chip on film (COF) structures for a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel. A plurality of package units with the COF structures are arranged along a longitudinal direction of the tape substrate. In each of the package units, input leads of the package unit are connected to a second side thereof, and the output leads extend from the second side to the package units in a bending manner. The present invention further provides the liquid crystal display panel using the tape substrate.

Abstract: A system and a method of detecting abnormal or security-significant segments of a video are provided. The video is divided into several segments. A set of features of each segment of the video is extracted in order to calculate a set of factors corresponding to each segment. A value deemed abnormal of each segment is calculated according to the set of factors corresponding to each segment. One or more abnormal segments are determined from the segments based on the abnormal values. The set of features includes a color variable feature, a movement variable feature, a movement variable ratio feature and a background variable feature.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display (LCD) and a making method thereof. The LCD comprises: a LCD panel and one or more (Chip on Film) COFs arranged at the edge of the LCD panel, wherein conducting layers used for discharging the static electricity from the LCD panel are arranged between the LCD panel and the COF. With the application of the conducting layers, the static electricity can be discharged from the LCD panel, and thus a LCD frame can be made of nonmetallic materials with low cost. Thereby, the production cost of the LCD can be further reduced while the static charge on the LCD panel is discharged in time.

Abstract: A color flat display panel and a corresponding color flat display device are disclosed. The color flat display panel comprises a plurality of pixels, a plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of data lines. Each of the pixels comprises a first color sub-pixel, a second color sub-pixel and a third color sub-pixel, each of the scanning lines is electrically connected with a corresponding row of sub-pixels in a row direction, and each of the data lines is electrically connected with a corresponding column of sub-pixels in a column direction. The first color sub-pixel, the second color sub-pixel and the third color sub-pixel of each of the pixels are arranged in the column direction so that the corresponding row of sub-pixels electrically connected with each of the scanning lines are sub-pixels of a same color. As sub-pixels of each row are of a same color, each sub-pixel can receive a Gamma curve of the same color, thus obviating the color-cross.

Abstract: Polyurethane composition based on a certain polyether and polyester prepolymer reaction mixture, wherein the composition is utilized in manufacturing chemical mechanical polishing/planarizing (CMP) pads. The CMP pads have low rebound and can dissipate irregular energy as well as stabilize polishing to yield improved uniformity and less dishing of the substrate.

Abstract: A clock conditioning circuit including a phase detector circuit configured to provide an analog tuning signal indicative of a phase relationship between a reference clock to be conditioned and a generated clock. The controlled oscillator is configured to produce the generated clock, with the generated clock having an output frequency adjustable in response to an analog tuning signal applied to a control signal input of the controlled oscillator. Converter circuitry is provided to produce a digital representation of the analog tuning signal when the mode control circuitry is in a tracking mode. Abstract: An embodiment of the invention includes a device for controlling data reading mode of a hard disk host apparatus. The device comprises a power converter circuit, a power supply toggle-switching circuit, a hard disk access port selection module, a hard disk host converter module, and a power control module. The power control module judges whether the motherboard supplies power for the apparatus in order to select the power supply mode and data transmission channel for the hard disk. If the motherboard supplies power, then power is supplied to the hard disk via the motherboard and the hard disk host controller is selected to provide the data transmission channel for the hard disk. If the motherboard supplies no power, then power is supplied to the hard disk via the external device receptacle and the hard disk host converter module is selected to provide the data transmission channel for the hard disk.

Abstract: A cam indexer includes a driving assembly, a driving plate, a multi-task dial, a latching assembly and a positioning assembly. The driving plate defines an arc-groove at the periphery thereof and a cam surface at the bottom of the arc-groove, the driving plate further includes a receiving end and a resisting end positioned at opposite ends of the cam surface. The multi-task dial defines four positioning grooves along the periphery thereof; the latching assembly is fixed to the driving plate and elastically engages in first one positioning groove, the positioning assembly elastically engages in a second one positioning groove. The latching assembly and the positioning assembly are adapted to detach from the positioning grooves when the driving plate is driven by the driving assembly, such that the cam indexer functions as a partitioning mechanism.
