  • Publication number: 20200167903
Abstract: An image processing apparatus and method for a high dynamic range effect are provided. The image processing apparatus includes a conversion circuit, a specular detection circuit, and a blending circuit. The conversion circuit converts first pixel data of the current pixel of a current frame to a second pixel data, wherein a luminance of the second pixel data is lower than a luminance of the first pixel data. The specular detection circuit detects a specular degree of the current frame to produce a specular map, wherein the specular map includes a specular degree value of a current pixel. The blending circuit blends the first pixel data and the second pixel data according to the specular degree value of the current pixel to obtain blended pixel data of the current pixel.

  • Patent number: 10445583
Abstract: An image processing method and an image processing apparatus that utilize scrolling text information and moving edge-pairs of an edge map to determine text regions in interpolated frame is introduced herein. Text blocks are detected according to the moving edges-pair of the edge map. Next, a first moving vector histogram and a second moving vector histogram are built according to the detected text blocks. An existence of scrolling text and motion vector of the scrolling text in the frames are determined according to the first and second moving vector histograms. A scrolling text region in at least one of the first frame and the second frame is determined in block line unit, and positions of each scrolling text pixels in an interpolated are determined according to the motion vector of the scrolling text and the scrolling text region in the at least one of the first frame and the second frame.

  • Publication number: 20190310760
Abstract: The invention is directed to “spatio-data coordination” (SD coordination) which defines the mapping of user actions in physical space into the space of data in a visualisation. SD coordination is intended to lower the user's cognitive load when exploring complex multi-dimensional data such as biomedical data, multiple data attributes vs time in a space-time-cube visualisation, or three-dimensional projections of three-or-higher-dimensional data sets.

  • Patent number: 9868916
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for cooling hot product gas are provided. The method includes introducing cooled solid into a downward or upward contactor where heat transfer between solid and product gas. After separating solid and product gas in cyclone system, cooled product gas flows to process downstream and hot solid is introduced into a fluidized bed solid cooler from the cyclone dipleg. The hot solid flows through the shell side of the fluidized bed cooler and exchanger heat with the coolant in the tube side. The cooled solid flows through a mechanical or non-mechanical valve back into the downward/upward contactor and complete the cycle.
