  • Publication number: 20230361872
Abstract: The present invention provides a fiber deployment method, storage medium, electronic device and system. The fiber deployment method includes the following steps: S10, traversing all single-mode fiber links and selecting a link for ultra-low loss fiber upgrade with the objective of minimizing the maximum number of frequency slots used in the whole network; and S20, when both an ultra-low loss fiber and a single-mode fiber satisfy the service demand, using preferentially spectrum resources in the single-mode fiber. The fiber deployment method of the present invention is simple and feasible. It allows a more efficient fiber upgrade strategy and more reasonable spectrum resource allocation and can make full use of the existing single-mode fibers in the elastic optical network, thereby allowing more efficient resource utilization.

  • Publication number: 20230291678
Abstract: The invention provides a method for load-balanced traffic grooming in an IP over Quasi-CWDM network, including the steps of: inputting a network topology, a set of service traffics between nodes in node pairs and a null route, and when selecting one of the node pairs from the set of service traffics and establishing a traffic request between the nodes in the node pair, deleting the virtual link for which the corresponding light path has no sufficient remnant capacity in an IP layer of the network; finding the virtual link route having the lowest hop count in the IP layer, and determining whether each virtual link on the route can satisfy the service request by means of traffic grooming; and if yes, adopting the traffic grooming strategy to satisfy the service request; and if not, adopting the wave plane based strategy to establish a light path to satisfy the service request.

  • Patent number: 10411824
Abstract: A design method for a quasi-coarse wavelength division multiplexing optical network is provided. A spectral grid of an optical channel has a pre-set fixed bandwidth, and the pre-set fixed bandwidth is at least 200 GHz. A modulation format of the optical channel is adaptively selected according to actual rate requirements and physical channel conditions, thus selecting an optimal modulation format achieve a tradeoff between the total cost of IP router ports and regenerators and the served number of traffic demand. The above technical solution effectively resolves the technical problems in the prior art of high construction costs and low spectral efficiency of elastic optical networks.

  • Patent number: 10373121
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for integrating a calendaring system with a mashup page. A mashup server accesses the calendar data inputted by a user to create or edit an entry in a calendar application. The mashup server provides the user access to widgets to be included on a mashup page, where the widgets use the accessed calendar information so that the widgets provide information to the recipients of the calendared event. In this manner, the widgets provide information that normally would be accessible by the participants via links to a myriad of disjoint applications thereby negating the fractured experience of the participants. Upon finalizing the mashup page, the mashup page is saved as a Uniform Resource Location (URL) in the created/edited calendar entry. The mashup page is later transmitted by the mashup server to the recipients of the calendar entry.
