  • Publication number: 20250193442
Abstract: There is provided a pixel transform method for JPEG/MPEG compression of double phase-amplitude coded holograms. According to an embodiment, a hologram compression method transforms a hologram represented by a complex number into a hologram represented only by a phase, rearranges pixels of the transformed hologram, and compresses the rearranged hologram. Pixels of a DPAC hologram are rearranged before the DPAC hologram is compressed in a standardized image/video compression technique, so that a high frequency component is prevented from occurring when a hologram is compressed. Accordingly, hologram quality degradation occurring when a DPAC hologram is used in a standardized image/video compression technique can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20250191304
Abstract: There is provided a passthrough virtual reality display with an optional real-world direct view. According to an embodiment, a passthrough virtual reality display system includes: a camera configured to generate a real-world image by shooting a front; a display panel configured to display the real-world image generated by the camera, and having some pixel missed; and a direct view image transmission unit configured to transmit a real-world direct view image entering from the front to the display panel, or block the real-world direct view image. Accordingly, when power supply is interrupted due to discharge of a battery, a real-world direct view image rather than a real-world image is displayed, so that a user can identify an outside situation and can be prevented from being confused or being placed in a dangerous situation.

  • Publication number: 20250189928
Abstract: There are provided a single SLM-based binocular holographic near-eye display and a CGH generation method for the same. According to an embodiment, a holographic near-eye display represents a left-eye hologram image and a right-eye hologram image within a single hologram with different depths, and reconstructs an image by optically separating the left-eye hologram image and the right-eye hologram image. Accordingly, a binocular holographic near-eye display may be implemented with a low-cost/low-form factor without loss of a resolution, an angle of field, a depth representing capability, an eyebox, a frame rate even when the display is implemented by a single SLM.

  • Publication number: 20240397167
Abstract: There is provided an object attribute-based watermarking method for preventing leakage of a digital content. A video watermarking method according to an embodiment may acquire a requested video and watermarking information upon receiving a request for video streaming from a user, may determine some of objects appearing in the video according to the watermarking information, may transform attributes of the determined objects, and may stream the transformed video. Accordingly, by watermarking an attribute of an object appearing in a video differently according to a user and providing the video, a watermark may be difficult to perceive, robustness against various attacks may be guaranteed, and a leakage path of a content may be checked.

  • Patent number: 8526483
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a power line channel-adaptive communications system and method. The power line channel-adaptive communications system includes a transmitting end, a channel-adaptive controller, and a receiving end. The transmitting end generates an adaptive chirp symbol signal of a preset type for transmission data according to a channel state of the power line, modulates the generated adaptive chirp symbol signal in any one of first and second transmission modes, and transmits the modulated adaptive chirp symbol signal via the power line channel. The channel-adaptive controller controls the type and transmission mode of the adaptive chirp symbol signal. The receiving end restores the transmission data by demodulating the adaptive chirp symbol signal, received via the power line channel, in any one of the first and second transmission modes according to the channel state of the power line.
