  • Publication number: 20090228876
Abstract: The present invention provides method and apparatus for dynamically updating and processing the multimedia script (510) for network servers (110). By replacing a responding software module which responds to an activating instruction (m, m1, m2, . . . ) with the time-based responding software module (520, 530), the playing of the specific multimedia element no longer depends on the activating instructions (m, m1, m2) frequently inserted by program editors to be activated, but is automatically activated based on the specific time. The method and the device provided by the present invention reduces the redundant information of a multimedia playing system, avoids the situation that the corresponding multimedia element can not be displayed because the user terminal (130) misses receiving the activating instruction (m, m1, m2, . . . ).

  • Publication number: 20090019498
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for creating a specific segment during broadcasting program. Firstly, sending a program to an user terminal; then receiving a request of an user from the user terminal, which requests to create a specific segment, wherein the specific segment is part of the broadcasting program; finally creating the specific segment according to the request. Furthermore, the invention can also send the created specific segment to the user terminal. The invention solves the problem that the choice standard for the specific segment specified by the broadcasting program supplier/the program producer does not meet the real requirement of the users, thereby the users can obtain their required specific segments during watching program to satisfy their individual needs.

  • Publication number: 20070223564
Abstract: A method of processing an input signal (SG0) is described. The method involves receiving the input signal (SG0). Moreover, the method also involves processing the input signal (SG0) into a base stream (SG1) and one or more enhanced streams (SG2, SG3) wherein the base stream (SG1) includes basic signal information and the one more enhanced streams (SG2, SG3) include enhancement signal information complementary to the basic signal information. Furthermore, the method involves combining the plurality of streams (SG1, SG2, SG3) to generate a corresponding composite signal (40) of constant bit rate (CBR), the composite signal (40) being susceptible to broadcasting in one multiplex.

  • Publication number: 20070107036
Abstract: This invention provides a method that when the disturbance of the bandwidth or the signal quality occurs during the digital program broadcasting, so that the broadcasting quality of the currently broadcast normal program is below a predetermined value, a prearranged program having a specific broadcasting quality, such as advertisements, will be inserted. The prearranged program may have an regular relation to the currently broadcast normal program, thereby the user would rather appreciate some program than suffer bad screen showing or wait until the program returns back to a good condition to be watched normally. This invention further provides a method for making statistics of the inserted prearranged program, said statistical information could be used for charging.

  • Publication number: 20070100833
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for creating an electronic bookmark during browsing on a web. According to a predetermined sequence the method records the process of browsing the specific program content by an user and stores the process in a storing means. The stored content is a browsing command for requiring a specific server to send the program content from an random position in a specific program specified by an user. When a user clicks the bookmark, a series of requests contained in the bookmark are handled one by one in the batch-handling manner, so that the user can directly and accurately find the specific position in the specific program in a on-line manner in the web, as conveniently as using conventional bookmarks in the conventional books.
