    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for carrying out a task of a sensor network, comprising the steps of detecting (S101) mobile means (300) temporarily entering a range covered by a sensor network, and assigning the task (S109) to the mobile means to use the mobile means to finish the task. The present invention can save energy consumption of the sensor network and enhance its processing capability. The present invention also relates to a sensor network (400), sensor node (200) and mobile means (300) using said method.
