  • Publication number: 20260072294
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to contact lenses for the correcting a refractive error, particularly astigmatism, and other corneal irregularities. An exemplary lens comprises an inner portion, a peripheral portion, and a juncture therebetween. The inner portion provides optical correction for an eye. The peripheral portion conforms to a corneal surface of the eye. The juncture is a structurally flexible portion of the ophthalmic lens such that deformation of the peripheral portion in response to conforming to an astigmatism or higher order aberration of the corneal surface does not substantially deform the inner portion. When the lens is placed on the eye, the inner portion vaults over the corneal surface to form a lenticular volume. The optical correction is provided by a combination of the inner portion and the lenticular volume.

  • Publication number: 20250381025
Abstract: A device having a first end, a second end, and a bottom side; wherein the device includes a hollow conical portion at the first end and a hollow cylindrical portion at the second end; wherein the first end is configured to engage an intra-ocular lens injector; wherein the second end includes a pointed tip configured to penetrate tissue of an eye; wherein an opening is formed in the bottom side of the device, extends from the second end toward the first end, is configured to pass therethrough an implantable device received at the first end for implantation in the eye, and is defined by first and second beveled portions extending from the pointed tip toward the first end, first and second parallel portions extending from the beveled portions, first and second concave portions extending from the parallel portions, and a planar face extending from the concave portions.

  • Publication number: 20220023209
Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions designed to deliver Vitamin D efficiently to the eyes and methods for using same are described herein. More particularly, ophthalmic pharmaceutical compositions for use in protecting eyes from the harmful effects of light exposure, in maintaining a healthy ocular state, and in treating disorders of the eye are described herein. The composition may also be used as a medical device which, once on the surface of the eye, creates a layer that filters electro-magnetic radiation in different wave lengths. The composition may also be used as a medical device which eases the symptoms and signs of eye-surface conditions.
