  • Patent number: 10200251
Abstract: System and techniques are described for applying selectable applications to process data packets an adaptive private network (APN). Methods to select application specific processing within a WAN ingress processing pipeline begin with receiving a packet from a local area network (LAN) in an adaptive private network (APN) WAN ingress processing stages. The received packet is identified to be separately processed by a selected application that is different than standard ingress processing. Packet processing flow is redirected to the selected application for application specific processing of the received packet in response to the packet being identified to be separately processed. The separately processed packet is returned to the standard ingress processing after completing the separate processing.

  • Publication number: 20130145434
Abstract: A wireless device initiates a connection by sending an Unsolicited HTTP(s) POST that includes a user identity and credentials, not in response to a form that is provided to the wireless device from a secondary authentication service (2AS), so the 2AS does not have a session with the wireless device. An HTTP(s) session is handled by a home agent or enterprise home agent. The 2AS uses the user identity and credentials from the Unsolicited POST to complete interaction with a downstream identity management server, and takes appropriate action by either indicating to the home agent that authentication was successful and the device is authorized to use the private enterprise network resources protected by the 2AS process; or if the authentication was unsuccessful that the session(s) should be disconnected. In addition, the 2AS may communicate with the agent on the wireless device to send intermediate and final status of the attempt.

  • Patent number: 8179895
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for monitoring tunneled Internet protocol (IP) traffic on a high bandwidth IP network are disclosed. According to one method, a copy of a tunneled IP packet traversing an IP communications network is generated. The packet may include a payload having tunneled protocol address information. The tunneled protocol address information and the payload portion of the copied IP packet is read. The packet is distributed, using the tunneled protocol address information, to a function for providing at least one of packet classification and network monitoring service for the packet.

  • Patent number: 8059667
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing an enriched messaging service in a communications system is described. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a signaling message associated with a call at one of a plurality of service dispatch and control (SDC) functions, wherein the call signaling message includes a subscriber identifier. A plurality of call services associated with the subscriber identifier that is to be applied to the call is determined. The method also includes communicating the signaling message from the SDC function to a service platform and receiving back at the SDC function for each of the plurality of call services and thereby sequentially applying the call services to the call.

  • Patent number: 7680928
Abstract: An automatically configurable network monitoring system includes a network monitoring communications protocol used for communications between a network monitoring client executing on a routing node (100) being monitored and a network monitoring server executing on a network monitoring processor (106). According to the network monitoring communications protocol, the network monitoring client broadcasts a network monitoring service request message to the network monitoring servers. The service request message identifies a signaling link for which network monitoring service is being requested. The network monitoring servers provisioned to the requested provide network monitoring service respond affirmatively and thereby automatically grant network monitoring service. The network monitoring system may be completely probeless or, alternatively, used in conjunction with probe-based network monitoring devices.
