Abstract: Proposed is a secondary battery including an electrode assembly, an electrode assembly, a plate disposed on both sides of the electrode assembly, and a pouch film coupled to the plate and accommodating the electrode assembly. The secondary battery has a structure in which the pouch film seals the outer edges of the plate to accommodate the electrode assembly, so that no cup is formed in the process of forming of the pouch film. As a result, there is no limit to the increase in thickness of the electrode assembly, thereby increasing the energy density per volume of the battery.

Abstract: A secondary battery is provided in the present application. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a cathode and an anode facing the cathode, thermoelectric elements columns arranged on a surface of the electrode assembly, and a circuit structure that electrically connects the thermoelectric element columns. The circuit structure includes a series/parallel switching unit configured to switch a connection between the thermoelectric element columns from a series connection to a parallel connection or from a parallel connection to a series connection. The thermoelectric element columns are connected selectively in parallel or in series to improve rapid charging and life-span properties.

Abstract: A secondary battery according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention includes an electrode assembly including a plurality of electrodes and a separation membrane disposed between the electrodes, a case configured to receive the electrode assembly, electrode tabs which are connected with the electrodes and protrude to an outside of the case, and a thermoelectric unit configured to at least partially cover the electrode tab. The thermoelectric unit includes an insulator, and a thermoelectric region which includes thermoelectric elements included in the insulator or attached to the insulator, and is disposed to be overlapped with the electrode tab in a planar direction.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a secondary battery pouch including a sealing portion formed at an outside of the secondary battery pouch constituting a battery cell and configured to seal an inner space of the secondary battery pouch. The sealing portion includes: a first fusion portion having a smallest thickness in the sealing portion; and a second fusion portion having a largest thickness in the sealing portion. The first fusion portion and the second fusion portion are continuously formed at least one time alternately in a direction from an innermost side of the sealing portion in contact with the inner space of the secondary battery pouch to an outer side of the sealing portion.
