    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for purifying darbepoetin alfa by selectively separating only a structural isoform having a high content of sialic acid from a mixture of structural isoforms of darbepoetin alfa having various contents of sialic acid. Since the method of the present invention is a novel method for purifying darbepoetin alfa which can be conveniently and simply produced, it is possible to remarkably increase productivity due to process efficiency improvement, as well as to yield high purity darbepoetin alfa when mass-producing darbepoetin alfa according to the present invention.

    Abstract: A method of coating a wafer with photoresist includes steps of injecting solvent on a wafer, subsequently applying photoresist onto the wafer, rotating the wafer at a constant speed, and directing a laminar flow of air towards the wafer as it is rotating. Since the solvent is injected onto the wafer prior to the photoresist, the surface tension and viscosity of the photoresist are lowered. The laminar airflow suppresses turbulence at the surface of the wafer, which turbulence is otherwise created by the act of rotating the wafer. To this end, a cylinder is raised to form a chamber over the wafer, and filtered air is blown into the cylindrical chamber. These measures make it is possible for the photoresist film to be formed with a uniform thickness.

    Abstract: A backlight system for use in display devices including liquid crystal displays, or in advertising means or in lighting devices includes one or more light sources, a light-glide panel, a light reflecting film, an anisotropic light diffusing film, and a light collimating film. A light source is positioned at one or more edges of the light-guide panel in a predetermined direction. A light reflecting film is placed below the light-guide panel. An anisotropic light diffusing film is placed over the light-guide panel. The anisotropic light diffusing film has directionally different diffusing properties. The light collimating film has a top surface and a smooth bottom surface. The top surface of the light collimating film includes a lenticular layer extending in a predetermined direction. The lenticular layer has a plurality of linear prisms. A reflective polarizer can be employed over the light collimating film.

    Abstract: A way of a synthesizing speech by the combination of a Speech coding mode and Formant analysis mode is achieved by segmenting a Formant transition region into portions, according to the linear characteristics of a frequency curve, and storing the Formant information of each portion. Therefrom frequency information of a sound is obtained. Formant information data of a Formant contour to produce speech, is calculated by a linear interpolation method. The frequency and the bandwidth, which are elements of the Formant contour calculated by a linear interpolation method, are sequentially filtered in order to produce a speech signal which is a digital speech signal. The digital speech signal is converted to an analog signal, amplified, and output through a external speaker.
