    Abstract: In a method for forming a graphene quantum dot, a first reduced graphene oxide product having a first size is formed by applying microwaves to a graphene oxide material. The first reduced graphene oxide product is oxidized by applying microwaves to a mixed solution including an acid solution, a first oxidant, and the first reduced graphene oxide product so as to form a first graphene oxide product having a second size. Microwaves are applied to the first graphene oxide product so as to form a second reduced graphene oxide product having a third size which is smaller than the first size.

The interaction between the frequency chirp and the fiber dispersion is newly analyzed. The linear and nonlinear properties of the chirp-dispersion are separately analyzed. A pre-compensating transmitter may consist of a phase interpolator (PI), a 2 tap data generator, a pulse widening CLK generator, a rising pattern detector, 4:1 Mux and an output driver. A post-compensating receiver may consist of linear equalizer for the rabbit ear compensation, nonlinear equalizer for tilting compensation, typical high frequency boosting equalizer (EQ) and limiting amp (LA).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a GaN transistor, and a method of fabricating the same, in which a structure of a bonding pad is improved by forming an ohmic metal layer at edges of the bonding pad of a source, a drain, and a gate so as to be appropriate to wire-bonding or a back-side via-hole forming process. Accordingly, adhesive force between a metal layer of the bonding pad and a GaN substrate is enhanced by forming the ohmic metal at the edges of the bonding pad during manufacturing of the GaN transistor, thereby minimizing a separation phenomenon of a pad layer during the wire-bonding or back-side via-hole forming process, and improving reliability of a device.

An auxiliary layer comprising a high density metallic compound and an emission layer are formed by a laser induced thermal imaging (LITI) process. The metallic compound has a density of 2 g/cm3 or greater to promote adhesion and improve interfacial planarization. This results in improved luminance uniformity (i.e. luminance mura) between pixels within an OLED display device.

    Abstract: The proposed invention is about an improved method for serial-in and serial-out transceiver applications. The proposed system includes a dual loop phase locked loop (PLL) architecture having a PLL and a phase rotator (PR)-based delay locked loop (DLL). An advantage of this architecture is that a single PLL offers decoupled bandwidths; a wide jitter-tolerance (JTOL) bandwidth for receiving data and a narrow jitter transfer (JTRAN) bandwidth for the data transmission. Thus, the amount of jitter at the output can be substantially reduced relative to the input while offering sufficient jitter tracking bandwidth. Also, this architecture is suitable for low-power applications since a phase shifter in the data path, which is one of the most power-hungry blocks in conventional DPLL designs, is not required.
