    Abstract: An apparatus for generating 3-dimensional (3D) volume mask model and a method therefor. The apparatus includes a 2D mask data collector, a 3D mask model generator, and a 3D mask model adjuster, whereby 2D mask data is generated from a 2D mask image designed by a user, a 2D mask mesh is created based on inner and outer contour feature points, a 2D mask is transformed into a 3D model according to the user's settings, and the generated 3D mask model is modified to fit on a facial shape of a person who will wear the mask, and a 3D mask volume model is generated, which is immediately printed by a 3D printer to produce a 3D mask.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are an object detection apparatus for detecting an object and a financial apparatus using the same. In an embodiment, the object detection apparatus may include a light emission unit configured to emit light and a light-reception unit configured to receive both direct light that is emitted by the light emission unit and reflected light of the light emitted by the light emission unit which is reflected by an object to be detected. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the object detection apparatus can perform self-diagnosis, such as autonomously determining whether a failure is present and measuring sensitivity, although an object, that is, the subject of detection, is not present and process media, such as bills. Accordingly, performance in detecting a medium can be improved in financial apparatuses that perform deposit and withdrawal.

The system includes a motion analysis module, a mesh deformation module, a motion deformation module, and a skinning module. The motion analysis module receives existing motion data having information about non-deformed motions of a character, and extracts parameters from the existing motion data by analyzing an animation value that a character's each joint has. The mesh deformation module receives existing mesh data having information about an external appearance of a character and existing skinning data having information for cohering the parameters or bones with mesh, and generates deformed mesh data. The motion deformation module receives the existing motion data and deforms motion using the parameters. The skinning module receives the deformed mesh data, the deformed motion data, and the existing skinning data and generates character animation data having cartoon like motion.
