  • Publication number: 20060279296
Abstract: A backlight unit for a flat panel display and a flat panel display apparatus having the same. The backlight unit for a flat panel display includes a light source emitting light, a light guide panel having an incident surface facing the light source and totally reflecting light incident through the incident surface toward the flat panel display, a holographic pattern that is formed at at least one of an exit surface of the light guide panel or the opposing surface with a predetermined grating period and diffracts light incident into the light guide panel and a dot pattern containing a plurality of particles dispersed on the holographic pattern at intervals shorter than the grating period and scattering incident light.

  • Publication number: 20060129432
Abstract: A device, system, and method for providing health management services are provided. The device, system, and method analyze health data based on user health data obtained through a health measurement device and provide feedback data based on the analyzed result, thereby allowing accurate monitoring and management of the user's health status.

  • Publication number: 20050201120
Abstract: An edge light type backlight unit having an improved light-reception portion. The backlight unit includes one or more light sources that emit light, a light guide panel that guides the propagation of light incident on one side edge thereof, one or more light-reception portions having a first entrance face slanted opposite the side edge of the light guide panel on which the light is incident at a predetermined angle, and one or more reflecting elements that are disposed between each of the light-reception portions and each of the light sources and guides the light emitted by the light source so that it is incident on the first entrance face.

  • Patent number: 6811590
Abstract: A gas concentrating method and apparatus is provided in which equalization is accomplished below two sieve beds, to thereby save compression energy, to reduce exit noise, and to obtain a gas whose gas purity with respect to an amount of flow has been enhanced. The gas concentrating method makes two sieve beds communicate with each other at their bottoms when a pressure difference between a pressurized pressure and a decompressed pressure is maximized in the multi-bed type sieve beds which alternately operate between pressurization and decompression, to equalize an internal pressure in the sieve beds. The gas concentrating apparatus includes a compressor (50), sieve beds (60-1, 60-2), solenoid valves (40-1, 40-2), an orifice (90), check valves (90-1, 90-2), a storage tank (100), a pressure controller (70), a flow meter (80), a controller (110), and a muffler (20).
