  • Publication number: 20230320935
Abstract: An example of an electronic medical fluid transfer device can comprise a fluid transfer module with a multidirectional flow control valve and an intermediate container or pumping region, a sensor configured to detect whether at least one of a vacuum or gas is present in the fluid transfer module, a first electromechanical driver configured to interface with and control the multidirectional flow control valve on the fluid transfer module, a second electromechanical driver configured to be mechanically linked to and control the intermediate container or pumping region according to an operational parameter, and one or more computer processors configured to communicate electronically with the sensor and the first and second electromechanical drivers to determine the operational parameter based on a flow characteristic of medical fluid to be transferred and adjust the operational parameter based on output of the sensor.

  • Patent number: 10716882
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for efficient expression of breast milk is provided. The device comprises a horn having a funnel for receiving a breast and a tube extending downwards from the funnel and removably connected to a first end of a main body. The main body has a stem extending downwards from a second end. The horn portion of the device can vary in size depending on the user need to accommodate varying sizes. A flexible cylindrical diaphragm and a valve is provided and are configured to engage and create a sealing between the lower portion of the main body and a container for receiving the breast milk. The use of the cylindrical diaphragm creates minor stress points along the surface of the diaphragm, thereby making it difficult to tear or damage during repeated operation and cleaning.
