The support strut includes: a rod-shaped base body extending in a longitudinal direction, a fiber composite with an annular cross section, central hole originating from the first end of the base body, and with annular holes spaced apart relative to each other in the circumferential direction of the annular cross section and originating from the first end of the base body as well as running along the longitudinal direction in the base body; roving bundles imbedded in a matrix material that fills up the respective annular hole; and a hinged connecting body with a bearing receptacle for holding a swivel joint; as well as a guiding system with such a support strut and a method for manufacturing such a support strut.

The heating system includes an additional heating device having an insulation layer, with an electrothermal additional heating layer arranged thereon and with an electrical connecting device by way of which the energy supply device is connected to the additional heating layer. The energy supply device is connected to the heating layers by way of the connecting devices and in the activation phase, current is supplied during at least a partial period of time to the additional heating layer so that the base heating layer generates heat permanently, while the additional heating layer generates heat in the partial period of time.

In the method according to the invention, cross-linking silicone is used with the aid of a volatile diluent for infiltrating individual mats of a mat composite. A further object of the present invention is a device for performing the method according to the invention.
