  • Publication number: 20250021075
Abstract: A method of encoding data for additive manufacturing comprises: displaying a graphical user interface (GUI) having at least a planar segment selector control, a pattern shaping control, and a material selection control. The method also comprises displaying on the GUI a cross-section of a three-dimensional object at a position corresponding to a specific planar segment selected by the planar segment selector control. A planar pattern having nested contours is displayed over the cross-section, wherein each contour is shaped according to an input received by the pattern shaping control and is associated with at least one building material according to an input received by the material selection control. A data structure describing the planar pattern is stored in a computer storage.

  • Publication number: 20080279344
Abstract: An emergency telephone system has a dual mode, hybrid emergency telephone station connected with a central station through both a digital ethernet connection for digital VOIP communication and through a wire line for analog communication. Circuitry at the dual mode emergency station connects a user terminal with the digital ethernet connection and the wire line. A processor forming a part of the circuitry directs communication through the ethernet connection if operative and through the analog wire connection if the ethernet connection is inoperative.

  • Publication number: 20010052199
Abstract: A stackable modular planter comprising a pot having a bottom, side walls and open top, the top edge of at least one side wall having a window for plants to extend therethrough, a water permeable partition divides the pot into an upper plant growing chamber and a lower water collecting and draining chamber having an opening in a side wall for draining water therefrom, said pot further including means for integrally supporting a water pump for recycling water from the lower water collecting chamber to the upper plant growing chamber.

  • Patent number: 4509053
Abstract: A Tee slot blade antenna for aircraft and other high speed vehicles has a pair of dielectric sections, one section extending longitudinally along the blade and the other extending transversely from an intermediate location along the longitudinal section. The resonant frequency of the antenna is determined by the length of each section and the position of the transverse section along the longitudinal one, while the characteristic impedance is a function of the width of each section. The Tee slot antenna is capable of operating over a wide bandwidth on a smaller blade than prior single slot antennas. A Tee slot antenna designed for one frequency range can be combined with either a single slot antenna or another Tee slot antenna designed for another frequency range on the same antenna blade, without impairing the bandwidth of either antenna.

  • Patent number: 4460894
Abstract: A microstrip antenna which includes a ground member, a dielectric element mounted on the ground member and a radiating element on the dielectric element, has been improved by means of a distinct grounding ring of conductive material which is spaced apart from and extends around the radiating element. The grounding ring is connected to a ground member, thereby laterally isolating the antenna and permitting a closer spacing with adjacent antennas. The gap between the radiating element and the grounding ring is different in different directions.
