  • Publication number: 20170259809
Abstract: A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to avoid unintentional reduction in a driving force is provided. The control system is configured to estimate a vehicle speed after a predetermined period of time during propulsion of the vehicle under single-motor mode, and to shift the operating mode directly from the single-motor mode to an engine mode while skipping a dual-motor mode, if a current operating point of the vehicle enters into an operating region where both of the second mode and the third mode are available but the operating mode is expected to be further shifted to the engine mode.

  • Patent number: 9315105
Abstract: A bidirectional charger subjects power supplied from an external power supply to voltage conversion and charges a main power storage device and an auxiliary power storage device. Furthermore, the bidirectional charger is configured to be able to convert power in a bidirectional manner so as to be able to subject power stored in the main power storage device or power stored in the auxiliary power storage device to voltage conversion and to output power to electrical outlet. The electrical outlet is configured to be able to output power to an electrical appliance including a home appliance. When a travel driving force increases during use of the electrical outlet, a PM-ECU controls the bidirectional charger in such a way that power stored in the auxiliary power storage device is subjected to voltage conversion and output power to the electrical outlet.

  • Patent number: 8810061
Abstract: A charger is configured to receive electric power from an external power supply and charge a main power storage device and a power storage device for auxiliary machinery. The charger includes a capacitor for smoothing charging power outputted to the main power storage device. A PM-ECU controls charging of the power storage device for auxiliary machinery by the charger such that the power storage device for auxiliary machinery can receive residual electric charge in the capacitor. The PM-ECU controls the charger, after the end of charging of the main power storage device by the charger, such that the residual electric charge in the capacitor is discharged into the power storage device for auxiliary machinery.

  • Publication number: 20140132226
Abstract: A first opening/closing device is configured to include a precharging relay and a limiting resistor connected in series between a first power storage unit and a first pair of power lines. A second opening/closing device is configured not to include the precharging relay and the limiting resistor. When precharging a capacitor using a second power storage unit, a control device controls opening/closing of first to fourth opening/closing devices so as to form an electric conduction path extending between the second power storage unit and the capacitor via the precharging relay and the limiting resistor.
