  • Patent number: 6377140
Abstract: A surface-acoustic-wave filter has a pair of series-arm surface-acoustic-wave resonators and a shunt-arm surface-acoustic-wave resonator coupled in a T configuration. An additional bridging surface-acoustic-wave resonator is coupled between the input and output terminals, in parallel with the series arm. The bridging surface-acoustic-wave resonator provides enhanced attenuation of spurious signals at multiples of the passband frequency.

  • Patent number: 6373350
Abstract: A branching filter includes a transmitting filter and a receiving filter, both of the SAW-resonator type. The transmitting filter and receiving filter are housed in separate packages. The packages also include coupling circuitry and other necessary circuit elements such as inductor-capacitor chips. Accommodation of the SAW-resonator-type filters and other circuit elements in two separate packages leads to improved performance characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20010052830
Abstract: An antenna duplexer has a first filter and a second filter coupled to respective signal terminals and to a common node. The common node is coupled to an antenna terminal. The first filter has a higher-frequency passband than the second filter. A transmission-line circuit, inserted between the first filter and the common node, increases the impedance of the first filter in its lower stopband. The transmission-line circuit includes an internal node, a first transmission line coupling the internal node to the common node, a second transmission line coupling the internal node to the first filter, and a grounding circuit such as a capacitor coupling the internal node to ground. The grounding circuit further enhances the lower stopband impedance of the first filter.

  • Patent number: 6208223
Abstract: A receiving filter of a SAW separator that prevents temperature increase, and enables to improve electric power-resisting property and attains high performance. A series arms and parallel arms of a transmitting filter and receiving filter are equipped with ladder type filters comprising SAW resonators. In the receiving filter, the number of pairs of finger electrodes of a parallel arm resonator P1 arranged at the first stage viewed from input side is larger than the number of pairs of finger electrodes of parallel arm resonators P2, . . . at other stages. Or interdigitated width of finger electrodes of the parallel resonator at the first stage is made longer than interdigitated width of finger electrodes of each of parallel resonators at other stages.

  • Patent number: 5289902
Abstract: An elevator having a cage disposed inside guide rails, a damper unit, a vibration sensor, and a control circuit. The damper unit is controlled by the control circuit in response to vibrations of the cage which are detected by the vibration sensor. The vibration sensor detects the vibration of the cage, converts the vibration into an electric signal, and transmits the electric signal to the control circuit. The control circuit compares the electric signal with a predetermined value and controls the coefficient of viscous damping of the damper unit according to the result of the comparison. Accordingly, vibrations of the cage are absorbed and reduced, and the elevator provides a more comfortable ride.

  • Patent number: 4891972
Abstract: A method and device for the examination of a joint between a hollow steel shaft and a piece joined to the steel hollow shaft of a composite camshaft using ultrasonic examination. In the ultrasonic examination, the composite camshaft is put into a liquid and a probe of an ultrasonic search unit is inserted inside of the hollow steel shaft. The ultraonic examination of the joint is performed from inside of the hollow steel shaft. According to the ultrasonic examination, any kind of joint of the composite camshaft is possible, because a distance from an inside surface of the hollow steel shaft to the joint is constant. In addition, since the probe does not contact the inside surface of the hollow steel shaft, the probe is not consumed due to abrasion.

  • Patent number: 4612695
Abstract: The method of manufacturing a lightweight, low cost hollow cam shaft includes the steps of forming an integral journal portion in a hollow pipe member by inwardly deforming a portion of the pipe member, such as by coining or spinning, the outer surface of the deformed portion being the bearing surface. Annular grooves formed immediately adjacent the inwardly deformed portion allow residue from an optional finish-grinding operation to escape. Cam members having fitting holes are fixedly mounted on undeformed pipe portions, or on outwardly deformed pipe portions.
