  • Publication number: 20030220851
Abstract: A history management system that enables the user to acquire, via a network, history information even on a passive part like a cable for example, that is part of a product. Firstly, product 700 is installed with noncontact label reader/writer 709 which is made capable of connecting to network 131. Noncontact labels 121 through 127 are applied to each part comprising product 700. These noncontact labels each provide an IC chip and antenna embedded inside the substrate. The IC chip provides a storage part that records information and transfers information to and receives from noncontact label reader/writer 709 through this antenna by wireless transmission.

  • Patent number: 5583755
Abstract: A control system comprising two controller modules. The controller module includes an independent controller, a cooperative controller, an adjuster and a synthesizer. The independent controller inputs measured values xi of a system variable from a target system controlled by the current module. The cooperative controller inputs measured values of a control variable xj from a target system controlled by another module. The adjuster adjusts the gain of the cooperative controller 4 based on the control variable xi. The synthesizer corrects the output of the independent controller 3 by using that of the cooperative controller and effects on output reflecting the composition. The target system being controlled by the current module is controlled according to the output of the synthesizer of the current module. Any interference that may occur between the changing system variables of the target system can be suppressed in a short time.

  • Patent number: 5047676
Abstract: A brushless dc linear actuator includes a guide rail which extends in a longitudinal direction, and at least one moving member such as a slide, each of which is movable along the guide rail in the longitudinal direction. Each moving member includes permanent magnets. Rail supports are provided for each end of the guide rail and for holding the guide rail substantially horizontal. The moving member is propelled electromagnetically forward and backward along the rail by sequential activation of at least one series of electromagnetic coils distributed longitudinally with a predetermined pitch. A Hall-effect arrangement, including one Hall-effect element adjacent to each coil, provides non-impulsive, gradual activation and shut-off of active ones of the coils within a predetermined distance of the permanent magnets of the moving member. The pitch of the coils is determined as a precise function of the width of the permanent magnets, a phase simulation constant, and a coil selection constant.

  • Patent number: 4995102
Abstract: A scanning method used by a laser radar for scanning a predetermined scanning region with a laser beam so that the whole of the scanning region is illuminated with the laser beam, is disclosed in which a laser beam makes a first spiral scanning outwardly or inwardly and then makes a second spiral scanning inwardly or outwardly so that the rotational direction of the second spiral scanning is the same as that of the first spiral scanning, and the first spiral scanning and the second spiral scanning are repeated. According to this scanning method, the output of drive means for driving an optical system which causes a laser beam to perform a scanning, can be reduced, since a maximum power necessary for causing a body large in inertia to make a curvilinear or rotational motion is far smaller than a maximum power necessary for causing the body to make a linear motion.
