  • Patent number: 7116934
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, the workability of assembling of a cleaning blade is improved, and the dimensional accuracy between the cleaning blade and a photosensitive member is properly ensured. A cleaning blade 19 having a body portion 19a configured by an elastic plate member and a planar base plate portion 19b to which the body portion 19a is secured is held and secured by: a first butting part P1 which is a predetermined position in a first face S1 positioned in a front portion of the base plate portion 19b in the rotation direction of a photosensitive drum 2a to 5a; a second butting part P2 which is in a second face S2 opposed to the first face S1, and which is positioned closer to the photosensitive drum 2a to 5a than the first butting part P1; a third butting part P3 which is an end part of the base plate portion 19b that is opposite to the photosensitive drum 2a to 5a; and the photosensitive drum.

  • Patent number: 6341206
Abstract: An image developing apparatus has a photosensitive body, an image-developing roller, a toner feeding roller, a housing cassette, whereon the image-developing roller and the feeding roller are mounted, for storing the toner, a plate-like blade mounted on the housing cassette, a sheet member for preventing the toner from leaking, and toner sealing devices made of a resilient material for preventing the toner from leaking. The sheet member is displaced between a development area of the developing roller and a position of the pressed contact between the developing roller and the feeding roller. The sheet member maintains a uniformly contact along a longitudinal direction of the developing roller. The toner sealing devices are either mounted integrally to, or formed integrally with the blade as one unit, and provided at both ends of the blade. A space is provided between the toner sealing devices and the housing cassette.

  • Patent number: 6285847
Abstract: A printer for forming a toner image to be transferred onto a work piece, includes a latent image roller with an outer peripheral image surface adapted to be electrified in such a manner that an electrostatic latent image is formed thereon, an image developing roller with an outer peripheral toner surface adapted to hold thereon toner to be supplied onto the outer peripheral image surface so that the electrostatic latent image is developed by the toner to form the toner image, an electrifier for electrifying the outer peripheral image surface, and a discharger for partially electrically discharging the electrified outer peripheral image surface to form the electrostatic latent image. A motor drives both the latent image roller and the image developing roller.

  • Patent number: 6208363
Abstract: An exposure apparatus is set to each color so that latent-image lines formed on photosensitive drums 1a to 1d have predetermined inclinations from rotation axes of the photosensitive drums 1a to 1d to form electrostatic latent images on the photosensitive drums 1a to 1d while performing curve correction on the photosensitive drums 1a to 1d. Peripheral speeds of the photosensitive drums 1a to 1d are controlled so that inclinations of toner images of a plurality of colors on an intermediate transfer belt become equal to each other. Thereby, each pixel is not shifted when light-scanning images are superimposed each other by the exposure apparatus 3 and it is possible to obtain a high-quality image free from image deterioration due to scanning irregularity caused by inclination shifts of scanning lines 3K, 3C, 3M, and 3Y.

  • Patent number: 6125253
Abstract: A motor pulley for driving a photosensitive drum and a motor gear for driving a developing roller are fixed to a rotating shaft of a motor. The developing roller is provided with a developing roller driving gear which engages with the motor gear, and the photosensitive roller is provided with a photoreceptor driving pulley, to which a driving force from the motor pulley is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 5671467
Abstract: A color image-forming apparatus includes an endless belt-like photosensitive member stretched between and wound around a drive roller and a driven roller, and a plurality of developing rollers making contact with an outer surface of the photosensitive member. At least one flexure correction shaft is held in contact with an inner surface of the photosensitive member on the side remote from the developing rollers. With this construction, the condition of contact between each developing roller and the photosensitive member is made stable and uniform, and the developing conditions for all the colors become uniform so that a high-quality image can be obtained.
