  • Patent number: 5305948
Abstract: The solder bonding is conducted by applying a postflux, which contains halogen compounds in the ratio of 0.2% or less as the amount of halogen, over a metal surface, which is the portion to be bonded by solder, of a member including metal accommodated in a gas-impermeable container in a hermetically sealed manner together with a rust-proof agent packet. The method of the present invention prevents, in an extremely simple way and at a low cost, the oxidation of the metal surface by retaining the member including the metal under a reductive atmosphere in which no oxygen, moisture or corrosive substances actually exist, and in which reductive gas co-exists with the material including the metal member, and the use of the flux containing a small amount of halogen easily enables good bonding properties of the solder. Accordingly, it is unnecessary to remove the flux by organic halogen based solvents after the solder bonding, the cleaning steps may be simplified and cost reduction may be promoted.

  • Patent number: 5247384
Abstract: A method of the present invention for stabilizing the resonant frequency of a resonant scanner is that thermal energy of the same amount as the heat generated in an optical scanning mode is applied to the scanner section in a non-scanning mode to insure that the variation of the temperature of the resonant light deflector will lie within a predetermined range, whereby the resonant frequency of the oscillation of the reflecting mirror is stabilized. The resonant scanner of the present invention in which the scanner section is heated in the non-scanning mode by supplying the drive coil with an electric current that has a non-resonant frequency or with the heater is constructed. The resonant scanner using the method is capable of achieving precise optical scanning that has an improved dimensional precision in the sub-scanning direction.

  • Patent number: 4881722
Abstract: In preparing superfine particle in a reaction chamber by evaporation-in-gas method or on such processes as PVD or CVD using arc- or high-frequency plasma wherein in the proximity of the inner surface of the said reaction chamber, a vessel provided with a number of pores thereon is arranged and gas consisting of given components is introduced into the space between the inner surface of the chamber and the vessel, and spouted through the said pores on the vessel. The resultant superfine particle produced in the chamber and being in Brownian movement or in thermal migration does not adhere to the surface of the vessel by being separated from the vessel by the spouting gas so that the gas containing superfine particle is directed securely to the collecting path, wherein the vessel is made of the material not reactive with the resultant superfines but resistant to heat.
