  • Publication number: 20160368497
Abstract: An engine is automatically stopped if a first condition including a condition that a braking operation is performed and a condition that a vehicle speed becomes less than or equal to a first speed is satisfied, and is automatically started if a second condition is satisfied, including a condition that, after the engine is automatically stopped, a braking stopping operation is performed. A braking force is automatically generated if it is determined that the vehicle is on an upslope, during a period from when the first condition is satisfied until starting the engine is completed. The first condition is satisfied as a result of the braking stopping operation before the vehicle is stopped after the engine is automatically stopped.

  • Patent number: 9096266
Abstract: To perform appropriate travel control of a vehicle without applying an uncomfortable feeling to a driver, an ideal travel locus, that is a travel locus that becomes a target when travel control of the vehicle is performed, is set, plural guide target points which guide the vehicle when the travel control is performed are set on the ideal travel locus, and when the vehicle is guided to the guide target points, the vehicle is guided by making a degree of influence when the vehicle is guided at the plural guide target points different from each other. With the configuration, in a portion having a low degree of importance on the ideal travel locus, when the vehicle is guided by reducing the degree of influence of the guide target points, since the vehicle is guided in a state that a compelling force is small, the vehicle can be guided without applying an uncomfortable feeling to the driver.

  • Publication number: 20120277955
Abstract: Based on a requested target input by the driver using input means 14 (such as a destination, a travel method to the destination, for example, whether time is a priority or a fuel consumption is a priority), the driver plan creating ECU 1 selects the travel path based on the map information stored in map DB 13 and the current positional information of the vehicle obtained by the GPS 12. Additionally, the path information of the selected path is obtained, and the target track of the vehicle on the selected path is calculated. The variable area which is variable range of the calculated tracking based on the path information is obtained. The driving control ECU 2 uses the variable area information at the time of vehicle control.

  • Patent number: 7988243
Abstract: A brake controller is provided that includes a braking force application mechanism that presses a friction member against a braked member so as to apply a braking force to a wheel of a vehicle; and a control unit. The control unit calculates an index, which indicates a difference between an expected braking effectiveness and an actual braking effectiveness, corrects a target value, which is set to control a pressing force of the friction member, in accordance with the index to reduce a variation in a braking effectiveness of the vehicle. The control unit further sets a variation range in accordance with a factor that causes the difference. The variation range limits a variation in a correction amount to correct the target value.
