  • Patent number: 7095758
Abstract: A multiplexing and transmission apparatus including a transmitter and a receiver is provided. The transmitter includes a control pulses generating circuit generating control pulses having different phases; channel-frame generating circuits each outputting low-speed frame signal in synchronization with the control pulse; and a multiplexing circuit multiplexing the low-speed frame signals into the high-speed serial signal. The receiver includes a demultiplexer demultiplexing high-speed serial signal into low-speed frame signals; channel-frame synchronization circuits each generating a frame pulse corresponding to the low-speed frame signal; a switching circuit switching each of the low-speed frame signals to an appropriate port of the channel; and a switch controller circuit controlling the switching circuit.

  • Patent number: 7002968
Abstract: A signal transport system and a transport method are provided. A whole lowspeed signal containing a client overhead received from a client network is transparently subjected to time division multiplexing and an additional overhead is inserted in the whole signal and further subjected to wavelength division multiplexing, so that the digital signal having the addition overhead is transported in the wavelength division mode represented by one wavelength to a receiving equipment.

  • Publication number: 20040131363
Abstract: With this polarization mode dispersion compensation method, an optical signal which is sent by an optical signal transmitter 5 is propagated along an optical transmission path 6, and, after having passed through a polarization controller 1, is inputted to a polarizer 2. A specified polarization component is separated out by the polarizer 2 from this optical signal which has been thus inputted. The optical signal which has been thus separated is inputted into a waveform deterioration detector 3, which detects waveform deterioration thereof. Based upon information related to the waveform deterioration which has been detected, a control device 7 controls the polarization controller 1 so that the waveform deterioration becomes a minimum.

  • Publication number: 20030170035
Abstract: This optical transmission apparatus multiplex-modulates a plurality of input electrical signals into an optical signal with a bit rate of A. This apparatus has a light source which supplies an carrier light; an optical divider which divides the carrier light from the light source into N number of carrier lights (where N is an integer); optical modulators which modulate the carrier lights divided in the optical divider with electrical signals, an optical combiner which combines the optical signals from the optical modulator, and devices which convert the input electrical signals to RZ format signals each with a pulse width of 1/A or less, and applies a different delay to each signal, each delay differing sequentially by 1/A, and then inputs the signals to the optical modulator.
