  • Publication number: 20240110293
Abstract: An ammonia manufacturing apparatus of an embodiment includes: an electrochemical reaction cell including: a first reaction tank in which a reduction electrode is arranged and gaseous nitrogen is supplied; a second reaction tank in which an oxidation electrode is arranged and an electrolytic solution containing water or water vapor is supplied; and a diaphragm provided between the first reaction tank and the second reaction tank. In the ammonia manufacturing apparatus of the embodiment, the reduction electrode includes a reduction catalyst that reduces nitrogen to produce ammonia, a porous carbon material that supports the reduction catalyst, and an organic polymer material that binds the porous carbon material. The porous carbon material has pores with a BET average pore size of 1 nm or more and 15 nm or less.

  • Patent number: 6532664
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a shoe according to the present invention comprises a step of cutting a columnar raw material 1 to a given length to provide a disc-shaped raw material 2, a step of forming on one end face of the disc-shaped raw material a spherical sliding surface 10 which is to be disposed in sliding contact with a spherical surface on a piston, and a step of forming a thermal sprayed layer 6 on the other end face of the disc-shaped raw material by a rapid gas H.V.O.F. spraying process, the thermal sprayed layer serving as a flat plate-shaped sliding surface 9 which is to be disposed in sliding contact with a swash plate. A shoe which is provided with the thermal sprayed layer 6 exhibits an increased seizure resistance in comparison to a conventional shoe which is formed with a sintered layer, and can be manufactured inexpensively.

  • Patent number: 6146774
Abstract: A medium-P/high-P type Ni--P plating coating, the hardness of which can be furthermore enhanced by heat treating, is used for plating on the surface of a sliding member. However, its wear resistance does not arrive at the desired level. In addition, although the P content of the conventional Ni--P--B electroless plating coating is lower than that of Ni--P electroless plating coating, P considerably disordered the crystallinity of Ni crystals and hence impaired the sliding characteristics. There is provided as a Ni--P--B electroless plating coating, which can eliminate the above described problems, a plating coating containing from 0.05 to 5% by weight of P and from 0.01 to 0.05% by weight of B. Furthermore, barrel polishing, shot blasting, laser-beam irradiation, high-frequency induction heating and the like are applied to the plating coating.

  • Patent number: 4646815
Abstract: A heat exchange mat comprises at least a pair of mat members respectively including a heat exchange element and arranged side by side with their one side edges opposed, an elongated link member acting as a partition and linking between the opposed side edges of the mat members while allowing the interior of the respective members to communicate with each other at one longitudinal end of the link member, and means for supplying and discharging a heat exchange fluid to one of the mat members and out of the other member through supply and discharge tubes provided close to each other, the means being mounted to the mat at the other end of the link member, whereby substantially uniform thermal distribution overall the heat exchange mat is attained with remarkable improvement in the heat exchanging efficiency at its installing place.

  • Patent number: 4631102
Abstract: A method of manufacturing heat exchange mat comprises a first heating step of a mat member for semi-gelatinizing a pasty resin adhesive in said mat member as interposed between a surface sheet and a textile insert on both surfaces of a hollow member including a heat exchanging element of the mat member so as to preliminarily bonding said sheet and insert, and a second heating step for securing a seal member to the peripheral edges of the mat member and simultaneously fully gelatinizing said resin adhesive, whereby the required manufacturing time can be shortened to a large extent.

  • Patent number: 4567351
Abstract: An electric space heater includes a housing having inlet and outlet openings and enclosing a heat exchange structure having a main tube and a secondary tube communicated by conduit pipes to define a closed space, exhausted of air, in which a working fluid performs a cycle of vaporization and condensation. The main and secondary tubes each have a uniform diameter and are horizontally disposed in parallel relation with the conduit pipes extending upwardly from the main tube to the secondary tube. Extending the entire length of the main tube is a protective pipe enclosing an electric resistance heating element. The working fluid fills the main tube to a level completely immersing the protective tube, the remainder of the closed space being empty. The main and secondary tubes are provided with spaced radiation fins, with the fins on the secondary tube being at a wider spacing than those of the main tube.
