  • Patent number: 11601621
Abstract: A vehicular display system shows a view image including a blind area with superior visibility. Embodiments include an imaging unit that captures an image of a surrounding area of a vehicle; an image processing unit that converts the image into a view image of the surrounding area of the vehicle seen from inside a cabin; and a display unit. The image processing unit generates a rear-view image acquired when an area behind the vehicle is seen from a first virtual viewpoint located in the cabin, and a front-view image acquired when an area in front of the vehicle is seen from a second virtual viewpoint located behind the first virtual viewpoint in the cabin. The display unit shows the rear-view image when the vehicle travels backward, the front-view image when the vehicle travels forward, and shows both of the view images at substantially the same angle of view.

Abstract: A vehicular display system shows an image of a surrounding area of a vehicle in a superior visibility mode. Embodiments include an imaging unit that captures an image of the surrounding area of the vehicle; an image processing unit that converts the image captured by the imaging unit into a view image of the area seen from a predetermined virtual viewpoint in the cabin; and a display unit that shows the view image generated by the image processing unit. The image processing unit can generate, as the view image, a first view image acquired when a first direction is seen from the virtual viewpoint, and a second view image acquired when a second direction differing from the first direction is seen from the virtual viewpoint. Each of the first and second view images is shown at a horizontal angle of view that corresponds to a stable visual field.

  • Patent number: 10618458
Abstract: A vehicle headlight control device is provided with: a pedestrian detection unit which detects a pedestrian; and a headlight control unit which controls an irradiation state of a headlight. When the pedestrian detection unit detects a pedestrian within an irradiation range of the headlight, the headlight control unit executes dimming control for controlling the irradiation state of the headlight so that a periphery of the pedestrian is dimmed. The pedestrian is irradiated with a part of a high beam or a low beam, or marking light emitted from a dedicated light source. A dimming region is formed around the pedestrian by the dimming control, and contrast in brightness between the pedestrian and his/her surroundings can be raised.

  • Publication number: 20140286037
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a solid state lighting device includes an irradiating section, an optical waveguide body, a reflecting section, and a first wavelength conversion layer. The irradiating section emits laser light. The optical waveguide body has an incident surface into which the laser light is led, an inclined surface crossing an optical axis of the laser light, and an emission surface. The thickness between the inclined surface and the emission surface decreases as the inclined surface and the emission surface are further away from the incident surface. The reflecting section is provided on the inclined surface. The first wavelength conversion layer is provided on the inclined surface and emits wavelength-converted light having a wavelength larger than the wavelength of the laser light and emit the laser light as scattered light. Mixed light of the scattered light and the wavelength-converted light is emitted to above the emission surface.

  • Publication number: 20100135036
Abstract: An optical axis O? of a lens section of an optical member is inclined downward relative to a horizontal direction (an optical axis O of each LED) from a light emitting section of each LED. Therefore, an area at and below a horizontal position of a lighting device is illuminated by the lens section while each LED is arranged at an optically ideal position relative to the lens section. Also, reflection surfaces of upper and lower reflector sections and of the optical member are respectively set based on parabolas P1 and P2 different from each other with focal points F1 and F2 positioned at each LED. Therefore, the area at and below the horizontal position of the lighting device is illuminated respectively by the reflector sections while each LED is arranged at an optically ideal position relative to the reflector sections.

  • Publication number: 20090290336
Abstract: A light shielding mask 24 opposing to an entrance surface of a fly eye lens 23 is provided, and a transparent portion 25 is made open corresponding to each of lens portions 23b, respectively. Each transparent portion 25 is divided to be formed into a first transparent portion 25a allowing light for forming a projected image 101a on an upper stage of an illuminated surface 100a to enter the lens portions 23b and a second transparent portion 25b allowing light for forming a projected image 101b on an lower stage of the illuminated surface 100b to enter the lens portions 23b, and these are individually set, thereby a difference between an irradiation distance to each of the illuminated surface 100a, 100b due to a step can be complemented, individually.

  • Publication number: 20090052182
Abstract: There is provided a lighting system simple in configuration and capable of irradiating an irradiation image with less distortion onto an irradiation surface. For this reason, light shielding masks 24 causing light from an LED 12 to be incident on lens units 23b are arranged oppositely to a fly-eye lens 23. The opening shape of a light shielding unit 24b arranged on the light shielding mask 24 is set according to the state where the fly-eye lens 23 opposes an irradiation surface 100, and the light shielding unit 24b prohibits light in a range distorting the shape of an irradiation image on the irradiation surface 100 from being incident on the lens units 23b.
