  • Patent number: 5203008
Abstract: In a method of assigning a mobile radio communication channel, a plurality of mobile stations and a plurality of base stations constituting communication zones are distributed in a service area. The mobile stations are connected to the base stations for communication. A radio communication channel which meets the following first and second conditions is selected and assigned. The first condition is that a reception electric field level of communication between the mobile station and the base station which are connected for communication belongs to a channel group which satisfies a lower limit value. The second condition is that when the radio communication channel is used for communication connection, the ratio (D/U) of desired wave power to interference wave power satisfies quality conditions.

  • Patent number: 5178378
Abstract: A paper feeder including a driven platen which receives paper fed from a paper feed roller mounted on a shaft. Also mounted on the shaft is a freely rotatable gear which cooperates with a one-way clutch by way of interengaging protrusions, to rotate the shaft mounting the paper feed roller. When the paper reaches the platen, the paper is fed at a faster rate than the feed rate of the paper feed roller so that the roller and shaft are rotated by the action of the paper. Whereupon, the protrusions disengage and the gear does not cause rotation of the one-way clutch until after the first sheet of paper has been completely fed.

  • Patent number: 5140695
Abstract: In a mobile communication system between a mobile station and a telephone network through a base station which assigns a communication channel so that it satisfies required communication quality or D/U ratio, said base station comprises a moving speed detector (22) for measuring moving speed of the mobile station, and a D/U ratio generator (22A) responsive of output of said moving speed detector (22) for providing said required communication quality. The required communication quality depends upon the moving speed of a mobile station, and a communication channel is selected to be the minimum quality channel as far as it satisfies said required communication quality. Thus, the communication quality is always higher than the requested threshold quality level, and the effective reuse of frequencies is improved.

  • Patent number: 4968425
Abstract: A filter of depth layer type comprises a generally cylindrical filter body formed by laminating filter elements each in the form of a thin sheet of a filtering material having a central hole, and these central holes provide a conduit extending in the axial direction through the filter body. The filter body has a density distribution in which the density is lowest at the outer peripheral area sewing as an inlet for a fluid to be filtered and becomes progressively higher toward the conduit to serving as an outlet for the fluid to be filtered.

  • Patent number: 4852693
Abstract: A lubrication monitoring apparatus for a machine, in which an oil pressure gauge detects the pressure of lubricating oil of the filter, a first oil thermometer detects the temperature of lubricating oil before lubricating the mechanical section, a second oil thermometer detects the temperature of lubricating oil in the vicinity of the outlet of the lubricated mechanical section, and a warning device gives warning when any of the oil pressure, oil temperature, and oil temperature difference is out of a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 4605327
Abstract: A print ribbon cassette of a simplified construction which can prevent slackening of a print ribbon and normally keep the print ribbon in taut condition for printing. The print ribbon cassette comprises a lock member having a locking position for preventing inadvertent rotation of a feed spool on which a print ribbon to be supplied is wound. The cassette further comprises a ribbon lock control member which is moved between an operative position and an inoperative position in response to a tensile force of a print ribbon applied thereto. In the operative position of the ribbon lock control member, it engages with the lock member and holds the same to the lock position.
