  • Publication number: 20240090612
Abstract: A helmet includes a helmet shell and an impact absorber arranged at an inner side of the helmet shell. The impact absorber includes a hemispherical main body and an inserted member. The main body includes an insertion recess in an outer surface of the main body, the insertion recess defines an insertion space between the outer surface of the main body and an inner surface of the helmet shell, and the insertion space is open toward a fitting opening of the helmet shell. The inserted member is press-fitted into the insertion space.

  • Patent number: 11253021
Abstract: A helmet that can effectively reduce the rotational acceleration of an impact and at the same time also effectively reduce translational acceleration is provided. A helmet has an outer shell including a hard material and a shock absorbing liner (14) disposed inside the shell. The shock absorbing liner (14) includes a main body liner (16), a recessed portion (30) provided at an inner surface of the main body liner (16), an insert liner (18) fitted into the recessed portion (30), and a central raised portion (42) (central support member) disposed between a bottom surface of the recessed portion (30) and a bottom surface of the insert liner (18). When the helmet receives an impact, the insert liner (18) swings about the central support member as a fulcrum, thereby reducing the impact.

  • Patent number: 5862528
Abstract: A head protector for a helmet, in which at least one groove is provided in a predetermined inner surface of an impact-on-the head absorbing liner, the predetermined inner surface including at least a top portion to face the vertex of a person with a helmet on, but not substantially including at least a front portion to face the person's sinciput and a plurality of projections at least partially surrounded by the groove are provided in the predetermined inner surface. Owing to this head protector, the rigidity of the whole of the impact-on-the-head absorbing liner is not worthlessly reduced and, nevertheless, both the maximum acceleration and HIC due to an impact are effectively reduced.

  • Patent number: 4612946
Abstract: An automatic set-up system is provided for setting up on a pallet work to be machined by a flexible manufacturing system automatic machine tool. The pallet has a support plate and a jig plate which overlies the support plate on which the work is placed. The support plate, the jig plate and the work are sequentially conveyed by a convey unit on a setting table. The relative positions of the support plate and the jig plate, and of the jig plate and the work are usually held constant by the engagement of positioning recesses and positioning pins. Even if the position of the jig plate or the work conveyed by the convey unit deviates from a predetermined position, a float base and a support plate (the float base, the support plate, and the jig plate) are floated by means of air bearing pads. The horizontal movement of these components can be readily controlled, so that positioning pins can be easily fitted in the positioning recesses.
