  • Publication number: 20060281611
Abstract: To provide a muscle strength increasing device for a pressure muscle training method that can easily be tied around a region to be compressed. A muscle strength increasing device has a main belt 10 and a tie-down belt 20. A ring 11A and a loop-shaped belt 12A are fastened to the one end and the other end, respectively, of the main belt 10. The main belt 10 and the tie-down belt 20 are provided with two-dimensional fasteners 16, 21 for fastening. In order to tie the muscle strength increasing device around the region to be compressed, the region to be compressed is first passed through a loop of the main belt 10 that is formed by passing one end of the main belt 10 through the belt 12A. Then, the end of the tie-down belt 20 is passed through the ring 11A and turned right back. Thereafter, the tie-down belt 20 is pulled and the tie-down belt 20 is fastened to the main belt 10.

  • Publication number: 20060270530
Abstract: To provide a muscle strength increasing system that is configured to allow more effective muscle development without any extra effort of a wearer. A muscle strength increasing system has a muscle strength increasing device 10 and a compression pressure control unit 20. The muscle strength increasing device 10 includes a tight fitting band 1 having a tube provided therein and a fixing unit 7 for keeping the diameter of a loop formed by the tight fitting band 1. A pressure muscle training method is performed by introducing the air into the tube to apply, with the tight fitting band 1 being wrapped around a predetermined range to be compressed of a limb and fastened with the fixing unit 7, a predetermined compression pressure to the limb around which the tight fitting band 1 is wrapped, thereby restricting the blood flow. The compression pressure control unit 20 controls a built-in pump 2 to automatically control the compression pressure within a range that does not exceed a preset compression pressure.

  • Publication number: 20060201522
Abstract: To provide a method of lowering blood glucose levels and a method of treating and preventing diabetes. A belt-shaped compression strip 1 is fitted around a tightened area near the proximal end of an arm or a leg of a user and is fastened round the area. In this way, a compression pressure of on the order of 150 mmHg is applied to the tightened area to restrict blood flow through limbs receiving the compression pressure. This condition is held for about 15 minutes. During that time a user may keep rest or may do light exercises, which lowers a blood glucose level of the user. This provides treatment for diabetes for a diabetes patient and provides prevention of diabetes for a person who has a risk of developing diabetes.

  • Publication number: 20060142128
Abstract: A device for building up muscle capable of applying a uniform and sufficient pressing force to an extremity to be tightened even if the device is affected by the movement of the muscle, comprising a hollow cuff in which a tube and a restricting plate (6) are installed and a fixing means for maintaining the cuff in a loop shape of a specified diameter. The cuff is wound on the muscle of the extremity at a specified tightening portion, fixed by the fixing means to provide the specified diameter, and a specified pressing force is applied to the extremity on which the cuff is wound by charging air into the tube, whereby obstructing blood flow to build up the muscle of the extremity. Grooves (6a) are formed in the restricting plate (6) so that, when air is charged into the tube, the expansion direction of the tube can be restricted to the side of the cuff facing the muscle when the cuff is wound on the muscle.

  • Publication number: 20060140465
Abstract: An ultrasonograph is provided with a frequency component adjuster that adjusts spatial frequency components of original image data RAW0 of an ultrasonotomographic image. The frequency component adjuster is constituted of an unsharp image data generator, a subtraction circuit, a weighting circuit, an integration circuit, a multiplication circuit and an addition circuit. The unsharp image data generator circuit generates unsharp image data RAWi (i=1 to 5) by reducing the spatial frequency components of the original image data RAW0 in five steps. The subtraction circuit generates differential image data ?RAWj (j=1 to 4) by subtracting the unsharp image data RAW1 from RAWi-1. The weighting circuit weights the differential image data ?RAWj by multiplying them by respective coefficients kj (?1<kj<1). The integration circuit integrates the differential image data ?RAWj to generate adjusted image data RAW_En.

  • Publication number: 20060128538
Abstract: To provide a pressure muscle strength increasing apparatus that allows accurate adjustment of the degree of blood flow restriction when a pressure muscle strength increasing method is carried out. The pressure muscle strength increasing apparatus is comprised of a tight fitting device 100, a pressure setting segment 200, quantification segments 300, and a control segment 400. The tight fitting device 100 is wrapped around a predetermined range on a limb. The tight fitting device 100 has an air-tight gas bag. The compression force applied to the limb can be varied by supplying the air to and removing the air from the gas bag. The pressure setting segment 200 controls the supply and removal of the air into and from the gas bag. The quantification segment 300 is intended to be rest on the limb which the tight fitting device 100 is wrapped around on the distal side thereof to quantify a quantification target that varies depending on the increase and decrease of the compression force.

Abstract: A microcomputer capable of reducing a board area, enhancing the security, and improving the usability is provided. A microcomputer to be used in a notebook PC is disclosed, in which programs of a keyboard/power management BIOS and a system BIOS are stored in a built-in flash memory ROM. In order to set read (R)/write (W) protect to the BIOSes stored in the flash memory ROM, a read/write protect setting register is provided, and at initial setting after the release of reset, flags of R/W permission, R permission/W prohibition, W permission/R prohibition, and R/W prohibition are set to this register by a central processing unit CPU. By doing so, it becomes possible to achieve protection such as the prevention of error writing of the BIOS and the like between a host machine and the flash memory ROM via a LPC bus.
