  • Patent number: 6964006
Abstract: Network error display capable of displaying a user's measure intelligibly while making a distinction between an error of the receiving system on the network and an error within a device. An IEEE 1394 signal processing section detects an error of a loop state in an IEEE 1394 network, detects a link state, and detects an error when there is a link for the network or an error when there is no link for the network. A main body processing section stores messages indicating error states and performs display processing on messages stored on the basis of the error state. A display section displays a message for a user.

  • Publication number: 20050174494
Abstract: An electronic device that operates when receiving a remote-control signal from a remote controller includes a control unit which discriminates a device category and a code within the category of the remote-control signal received by a receiving unit and when the first device category code and the second device category code that are registered in advance are discriminated, the control unit judges each of the received codes to be efficient and issues a control command corresponding to the judged code, which controls operation within the device.

  • Patent number: 6789208
Abstract: A controlling apparatus capable of synchronized power supply control over a plurality of electronic devices which are connected to the controlling apparatus via a bus pursuant to a predetermined communication format and which are fabricated by a plurality of venders including those different from the vender of the controlling apparatus. If any one of the electronic devices is selected regardless of its vender as an input by the controlling apparatus and is judged to have a link only with the controlling apparatus, the electronic device in question is switched on or off synchronously by the controlling apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6772354
Abstract: An electronic system comprising a master device and a slave device which are interconnected via a suitable data bus, which have an independent power supply input each, and which exchange data therebetween. Upon judging the slave device to have been switched off, the master device turns off its own power supply in synchronism with the deactivated slave device.

  • Publication number: 20020047862
Abstract: A problem is to propose a network error display apparatus and an error detection display method capable of displaying a user's measure intelligibly while making a distinction between an error of the receiving system on the network and an error within a device. A network error display apparatus includes: an IEEE 1394 signal processing section (4) for detecting an error of a loop state in an IEEE 1394 network, detecting a link state, detecting an error which occurs in such a state that there is a link for the network or an error which occurs in such a state that there is no link for the network; a main body processing section (5) for storing messages indicating error states and conducting display processing on messages stored on the basis of an error state; and a display section (6) for displaying a message for a user. Therefore, a user's measure is displayed intelligibly while making a distinction between an error of the receiving system on the network and an error within a device.

  • Publication number: 20010032279
Abstract: An electronic device system of the invention has a controlling device and a controlled device interconnected via a data bus which complies with a predetermined communication format and which allows data to be exchanged between the devices. In a command transmission/reception transaction, the controlling device transmits a command to the controlled device. If an interim response is returned from the controlled device, the controlling device regards the transaction as complete and terminates the process without waiting for receipt of a final response from the controlled device.

  • Patent number: 6208800
Abstract: The invention relates to a video tape recorder (VTR). According to the invention, in a VTR in which the recording of a predetermined program is reserved by setting a recording start time and a recording end time and setting an audio mode of a signal of a program whose recording is reserved, there is provided a VTR which can certainly record a whole program whose recording is reserved even in the case where a broadcasting time of the recording reservation program is deviated back because of an extension of a previous program or the like.

  • Patent number: 5898724
Abstract: A gas laser apparatus for generating a laser beam along a light beam axis, comprises, a gas as a laser medium, a dielectric tube through which the gas passes, and which surrounds the light beam axis, a pumping source generating an electric discharge through the gas existing in the dielectric tube to excite the gas so that a laser light is generated from the excited gas, and a gas blower blowing the gas into the dielectric tube, wherein the gas blower forms a circumferential flow direction component of the gas in the dielectric tube.

  • Patent number: 5706305
Abstract: Carbon dioxide gas is fed in a metallic laser tube extending along an optical axis through a plurality of gas feeding tubes placed outside the optical axis and is taken out from the metallic laser tube by a blower to circulate the carbon dioxide gas, and the carbon dioxide gas held in the metallic laser tube is cooled by a gas cooling element. A pair of microwaves in which electric fields oscillated in different directions are induced are injected from a pair of gas injecting points of the gas feeding tubes close to the ends of the metallic laser tube and are combined in the metallic laser tube.
