  • Patent number: 10234151
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit having a compressor, a radiator, an upstream side expansion valve, a receiver, a downstream side expansion valve, an evaporator, and a receiver gas vent pipe. Gas vent control is performed so that gas refrigerant is led from a receiver to the suction side of a compressor via a receiver gas vent pipe by opening a receiver gas vent valve. Upstream side expansion valve subcooling control is performed so that the opening of an upstream side expansion valve is changed such that the subcooling of refrigerant is set to target subcooling at the outlet of a radiator. Downstream side expansion valve suction wetting control is performed so that the opening of a downstream side expansion valve is changed such that refrigerant is in a wetting state and the dryness is set to target dryness at the outlet of an evaporator.

  • Patent number: 9989272
Abstract: In an air conditioner, one of a linkage mode or a non-linkage mode is selected by a user as a control mode of an external device. In the air conditioner, when the linkage mode is selected, on/off control of the external device by using a human detection sensor is permitted during operation, whereas on/off control of the external device by using the human detection sensor is inhibited during suspension of operation. In the air conditioner, when the non-linkage mode is selected, on/off control of the external device by using the human detection sensor is always permitted, irrespective of whether the air conditioner is in operation or not.

  • Patent number: 9709310
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit performing an air-warming operation by circulating refrigerant through the compressor, indoor heat exchanger, expansion valve, and outdoor heat exchanger in order. The outdoor heat exchanger has flat perforated tubes arrayed vertically in multiple levels. The heat transfer tubes are sectioned into main and subordinate heat exchange parts. Upper and lower exit-entry spaces are formed in the outdoor heat exchanger. When an oil-accumulation-resolving criterion is met during the air-warming operation, low-refrigerant-circulation control, in which the refrigerant is circulated through the compressor, indoor heat exchanger, expansion valve, and outdoor heat exchanger in order, is performed for a predetermined time with an operating capacity of the compressor having been lowered to a predetermined capacity.

  • Patent number: 8647404
Abstract: An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes an indoor fan, an air filter for capturing dust in an air drawn by the indoor fan, a brush mechanism for removing the dust adhering to the air filter, and a dust storage container for storing the dust removed from the air filter by the brush mechanism. The dust storage container is provided with an opening in which the brush mechanism is positioned. A sealing member is attached to the dust storage container, the sealing member being provided in the dust storage container and between the opening and a storage space in which the dust is stored, for sealing a space between an inner wall surface of the dust storage container and the brush mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20120288363
Abstract: A ceiling-mounted indoor unit for an air conditioning apparatus is disposed in a ceiling of an air-conditioned room. The ceiling-mounted indoor unit includes a casing having an air outlet formed along a peripheral edge portion of an undersurface of the casing, at least four horizontal blades rotatably disposed in the air outlet, and a controller. The horizontal blades have airflow-direction angles that are independently changeable in an up-and-down direction. The control unit controls the horizontal blades such that at least two first horizontal blades of the at least four horizontal blades synchronously swing while taking the same posture. The first horizontal blades are adjacent to each other, and a combination of the at least four horizontal blades forming the first horizontal blades shifts in order along the peripheral edge portion.
