  • Publication number: 20160174922
Abstract: A low-energy X-ray image formation apparatus includes an X-ray generator generating X-rays having an energy spectrum showing an energy range continuously ranging from 18-30 keV (or ?37 keV), the energy range being higher in energy from an effective energy of an energy range ranging 10 to 23 keV. A detector detects the X-rays transmitted through a soft tissue of a subject or a tissue of a substance. The tissue of the substance corresponds in a contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) to the soft tissue of the object. A console acquires an image of the soft tissue of the object or of the substance, based on a detection signal from the detector. The soft tissue and the substance are defined as a soft tissue and a substance presenting a CNR of 3.8 or more when the X-rays are radiated in a condition where an X-ray tube voltage is set at 20 kV.

  • Publication number: 20070247058
Abstract: The present invention suppresses color irregularities or a black spot defect by reducing mislanding of electron beams or the generation of discharge at end portions of a spacer. The spacer is arranged on scanning lines as a single member having no split portions, and the spacer has both end portions thereof positioned exceeding both sides of a display region in the lateral direction (x direction) formed of a two-dimensional arrangement of electron sources and phosphors. An anode is formed to cover a display region with a width exceeding a width of the display region in the extending direction of the scanning lines. Both end portions of the spacer in the lateral direction (x direction) are arranged at positions retracted from a width of the anode. In the lateral direction, a relationship of the width of the display region<the width of the spacer<the width of the anode is established. The phosphors are applied to stripe-like black matrix apertures which extend in the vertical direction (y direction).

  • Patent number: 7176876
Abstract: The present invention provides a bright and high-resolution display apparatus having a dynamic range exceeding the number of gray-scale voltage (or current) outputs, which a signal driver is capable of generating. In accordance with the present invention, a select period, in which a group of pixels on each row is driven, is divided into a plurality of sub-periods. The signal driver supplies a voltage output varying from sub-period to sub-period to selected pixels through a signal electrode. The pixel is capable of expressing various values of a gray scale, the size of which is at least approximately equal to (the number of gray-scale voltage outputs, which the signal driver is capable of generating)×(the number of sub-periods). By changing the ratio of the length of a sub-period to the length of another sub-period or the range of the driving voltage (or current), the dynamic range of the display can be further increased.

  • Patent number: 7059730
Abstract: In the present invention, there is disclosed a reflective mirror whose contrast or resolution performance is equal to that of a surface mirror of a glass mirror for general use and which does not have any problem in reliability of resistance to environment and whose color shift or brightness performance is inhibited from being degraded. For this, in the present invention, a reflective film is formed on a glass substrate by use of silver mirror reaction, and a topcoat is formed of a colorless/transparent resin. At this time, a wavelength of a crest of a ripple indicated by a reflectance characteristic is constituted to substantially agree with that of a green luminescent line. Accordingly, a back projection type video display device which is satisfactory in the contrast or resolution performance can be prepared.
