  • Publication number: 20230311576
Abstract: Provided in a tread portion of a tire are main grooves, lug grooves intersecting the main grooves, and land portions defined by the main grooves. A specific one of the land portions includes, in a ground contact surface, sipes and narrow grooves intersecting the main grooves, the narrow grooves having a depth of 1.50 mm or less. When extending from one side toward another side in the width direction, the sipes and the narrow grooves have different directions extending in the circumferential direction in the central region and have the same direction extending in the circumferential direction in both edge regions on an outer side from the central region in the width direction. The specific one of the land portions includes at least one land portion on the outer side in the width direction.

  • Publication number: 20230294457
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a circumferential main groove extending in a tire circumferential direction, a land portion defined by the circumferential main grooves, and a sipe disposed in the land portion. The sipe is formed in a zigzag shape that has an amplitude in a width direction of the sipe while extending in a longitudinal direction of the sipe. A magnitude of the amplitude changes according to a position in a depth direction of the sipe. A depth of a maximum amplitude portion from an opening portion of the sipe in the depth direction of the sipe is located at a position 30% or more of a maximum depth of the sipe. The maximum amplitude portion is a portion where a magnitude of the amplitude is maximum.

  • Publication number: 20230286326
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes circumferential grooves, lug grooves, land portions defined by the circumferential grooves and the lug grooves, and a narrow groove in the land portions that extends in a circumferential direction. At least one of the circumferential grooves that defines the land portions in which the narrow groove is disposed has an amplitude in a width direction while extending in the circumferential direction to be formed in zigzag shape including long and short portions having relatively different lengths. The narrow groove has one or more bent portions where an extension direction changes in the land portions to include a long portion and a short portion having relatively different lengths. The long portion of the narrow groove has an inclination direction in the width direction with respect to the circumferential direction in a direction opposite to the long portion of the at least one of the circumferential grooves.

  • Publication number: 20230191849
Abstract: In a tire, width direction edges of lands corresponding to edges of lug grooves include width direction bent portions bent in a circumferential direction. Width direction bent portions closest to a land center portion line and disposed on outer and inner sides in a width direction are outer and inner bent portions, respectively. The lands have a width w1 in the width direction from the outermost side position to the outer bent portion of the lands in the width direction and a width w2 in the width direction from the innermost side position to the inner bent portion of the lands in the width direction, the widths w1, w2 satisfying w2<w1, and a maximum width wb of the lands in the width direction and a width wc between the outer bent portion and the inner bent portion in the width direction satisfy 0.2?(wc/wb)?0.6.

  • Patent number: 9902214
Abstract: A pneumatic tire in which an inner liner including a film mainly made of thermoplastic resin is attached to an inside of the tire via a tie rubber sheet, on an inner side of a carcass layer, and which has a lap-splice portion where end portions of the film in a tire circumferential direction overlap each other in a tire widthwise direction with tie rubber therebetween. A section of the film on a tire cavity side in the lap-splice portion has a portion where the film is thin over part or entirety of the width in the tire widthwise direction before the lap-splice portion, or a film thickness in the lap-splice portion is smaller than a film thickness in a portion other than the lap-splice portion. Thus, the pneumatic tire has no crack developing around the lap-splice portion of an inner liner layer after running, and has excellent durability.
