  • Publication number: 20120214614
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having excellent scuff resistance and spin performance, and a satisfactory rebound property. The golf ball has a core 3, an intermediate layer 5 covering the core 3, an inner cover 7 covering the intermediate layer 5, and an outer cover 15 covering the inner cover 7, wherein the outer cover 15 includes a neutralized product containing an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid-alkyl(meth)acrylate ternary copolymer having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 80,000 to 500,000 and an ethylene-acrylic acid or ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 2,000 to 30,000, and the inner cover 7 also includes the neutralized product.

  • Publication number: 20110118059
Abstract: The present invention provides a golf ball that achieves a satisfactorily long carry distance when hit with a driver and that accurately generates a desirable amount of backspin in an approach shot. The golf ball of the present invention has a spherical main part, a plurality of ribs formed on the surface of the main part, an interlayer that is placed in depressions surrounded by the ribs and has a hardness greater than that of the ribs, an inner cover that covers the interlayer, and an outer cover that covers the inner cover and has a hardness lower than the inner cover.

  • Publication number: 20070251845
Abstract: A golf bag with an adjustable handle. A golf bag according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a body, a handle, and a retracting member. An attachment member may also be employed for securing a portion of the handle to the bag. The top of the handle is pivotally connected to the body by the attachment member. The bottom of the handle is connected to the body by the retracting member such that the bottom can extend and retract relative to the body. The retracting member passes through an aperture on the body and connects to the bottom portion of the body at a point on the interior of the body. This arrangement allows the handle to pivot and extend away from the body as the bag is lifted. As a result, the handle remains substantially parallel to the plane of the ground while the center of mass of the bag is balanced directly below the handle. This provides an ideal position for carrying a golf bag. Other embodiments are also claimed and described.
