To achieve such a goal, fold line portions for guiding folding are formed on a cover body such that the fold line portions extend in the longitudinal direction of the cover body, the cover body is configured to be foldable along the fold line portions, and a plurality of core members are arranged between the fold line portions and left and right longitudinal-side edges of the cover body in a spaced-apart manner in the longitudinal direction.

The body cover device prevents a car body from being damaged and eliminates the need for modification of the trunk room for installation of the body cover device.
