  • Patent number: 6105045
Abstract: Data for use in specifying an image to be registered and data indicative of processing contents to be executed are listed in list structure and registered in a "reference list to image storage unit" and a "reference list to processing-content storage unit," respectively. The aggregate area thus listed is subordinated to another aggregate area. When image processing and output are performed and produced, an aggregate area is designated and the processing contents are applied to the image registered in the aggregate area. Even a low-order aggregate area is processed in accordance with the listed contents of the high-order aggregate area.

  • Patent number: 6091520
Abstract: A color image forming device produces a good image form, superior in color and gradation reproduction, and little over-enhancement in sharpness during generation duplicating. The device has an image processing parameter storage unit that stores parameters for processing which correspond to original document modes in respective processing blocks. An image processing parameter detector detects the original document mode, and provides the mode to the respective components as an original document mode directive TAG. When generation duplicating is designated, the generation duplicating mode corresponding to the set original document mode is set, and various parameter settings are indicated corresponding to the set generation duplicating mode in the image processing parameter storage unit. By such, the operation in each image processing module is converted to the set generation duplicating mode.

  • Patent number: 5987165
Abstract: An original image 402, conversion images 404a-404c provided by executing gamut compression systems, and a mix percentage scale 406 are displayed on a display. The user can click on any one of the conversion images 404a-404c for specifying a user-adjusted image 403. Further, when the user clicks on the mix percentage scale 406, the conversion images 404a-404c are mixed in response to the point on which the user clicks (point 406p), and the result is specified as the user-adjusted image 403.

  • Patent number: 5844542
Abstract: A state transition display window displays a hue circle and a number of setting points corresponding to respective color adjustment levels. As the user makes color adjustments, a history of the color adjustments is displayed in the form of arrows connecting related setting points. If the user specifies two setting points, images corresponding to setting point located on the line connecting the two specified setting points are displayed on an image display subwindow. A current image and six images adjacent thereto are displayed in a 6 near images display window.

  • Patent number: 5343312
Abstract: A mono color image outputting system for an image processing apparatus applies a color correction separated color signals in the input section converts them into recording signals of color material, before outputting a color image. In the mono color outputting system, a gradation property of value data in the input section is linearly compressed to correspond to a gradation property of value data in the output section.

  • Patent number: 5245417
Abstract: A ground detection means 10 for detecting the ground level of a document and a data correction means 11 for calculating correction data based on the detected ground level are provided. The ground level of the document is detected by prescanning and the correction data is calculated therefrom so that parameters of color conversion means 2, 3 are changed by the correction data. The correction data is set by approximating the detected ground level with a linear function. As a result of the above construction, the correction data is generated easily to thereby remove ground fog and exclude back-side images of the document. In addition, if the ground level is detected by a lightness signal L* and corrected by the lightness signal L* or a color-separated signal BGR, the correction can be achieved by correcting the parameters of a matrix that converts the color-separated signals B, G, R to a system value (L*a*b*) signal.

  • Patent number: 5146328
Abstract: A color converter capable of conversions between various kinds of color signals appropriate for use over a network (i.e., RGB signals, various luminance/chromaticity separated signals that are expressed by linear transformations of said RGB signals, and CIE LAB signals, which signals may or may not be gamma-corrected) and the internal color signals of devices connected to the network can be realized by rewriting associated coefficients and constants using the same circuit. Accurate color conversions can always be accomplished with an inexpensive system layout.
