  • Publication number: 20170069868
Abstract: To provide a light emitting device that has a structure in which a light emitting element is sandwiched by two substrates to prevent moisture from penetrating into the light emitting element, and a method for manufacturing thereof. In addition, a gap between the two substrates can be controlled precisely. In the light emitting device according to the present invention, an airtight space surrounded by a sealing material with a closed pattern is kept under reduced pressure by attaching the pair of substrates under reduced pressure. A columnar or wall-shaped structure is formed between light emitting regions inside of the sealing material, in a region overlapping with the scaling material, or in a region outside of the scaling material so that the gap between the pair of substrates can be maintained precisely.

  • Patent number: 9583739
Abstract: In a light-emitting device where reflective electrodes are regularly arranged, occurrence of interference fringes due to reflection of light reflected by the reflective electrode is inhibited. A surface of the reflective electrode of a light-emitting element is provided with a plurality of depressions. The shapes of the plurality of depressions are different from each other and do not have rotational symmetry. Irregularity of the surface shape of the reflective electrode is increased, which inhibits interference of light reflected by the reflective electrode. To form the plurality of depressions in the surface of the reflective electrode, for example, a surface of an insulating layer that is a base of the reflective electrode is made uneven. Reflecting the surface shape of the insulating layer, the reflective electrode has an uneven surface.

  • Patent number: 9508276
Abstract: In a second memory device, (n+1)th frame image data in an mth row (m is a natural number) is stored. In a comparator circuit, the nth frame image data in the mth row and the (n+1)th frame image data in the mth row are compared and determination data is output to a writing control circuit. In the writing control circuit, writing using the (n+1)th frame image data to a pixel in the mth row is not performed when the determination data indicates sameness, or the writing using the (n+1)th frame image data to the pixel in the mth row is performed when the determination data indicates difference. When performed in two or more successive frame periods, the writing using the (n+1)th frame image data is performed while video voltages having the same polarity are applied.
