    Abstract: A host computer transmits a plurality of print data pieces to which an identical password is added to a printing apparatus. The printing apparatus includes a unit configured to receive and store one of the transmitted plurality of print data pieces, an operation unit configured to accept input of a password from a user, an image formation unit configured to perform, when the password input from the user and the password added to the stored print data match each other, image formation based on the print data to which the identical password to the input password is added, and a control unit configured to cause, when it receives the remaining one of the transmitted plurality of print data pieces after the image formation has been performed, the image formation unit to perform the image formation based on the remaining print data without making the user input the password again.

    Abstract: An information input device which enable even a user incapable of seeing an operation panel to identify the respective locations of keys on the operation panel and functions assigned to the keys, thereby enhancing operability of the device. The information input device is provided with a touch panel for inputting coordinate information based on a location thereon touched by a user. A pressure sensor detects the location on the touch panel touched by the user. A CPU determines whether or not there is a key assigned to the location detected by the pressure sensor. When it is determined that there is a key assigned to the location, a vibration generator vibrates the touch panel in a vibration pattern associated with the key. Further, when it is determined that there is a key assigned to the location, a voice output section outputs a voice associated with the key.

    Abstract: In an image output apparatus which performs printing based on transferred data, when bus reset occurs during isochronous data transfer through a serial bus, the data transfer is suspended and a print error is caused. Therefore, when bus reset occurs during image data transfer through the serial bus, transferring and outputting of image data is performed again, and stapling is performed for proper stapling. Similarly, when bus reset occurs, transferring and outputting of image data is suspended, the printouts whose printing has been suspended are discharged to a dedicated bin provided for erroneous printouts, and transferring and outputting of the image data is performed again. Accordingly, an erroneous printout caused by bus reset is not intermingled with proper printouts on the same bin.
