  • Patent number: 5649245
Abstract: A camera setting and display device has a visual display and includes setting members that set corresponding photographic information in a camera. A storage device included in the camera has a first storage area that selectively stores a first set of photographic information from the setting members and a second storage area that selectively stores a second set of photographic information, different from the first set of photographic information, from the setting members. A visual display of the camera setting and display device has a first display section corresponding to the first storage area that displays the first set of photographic information and a second display section corresponding to the second storage area that displays the second set of photographic information. A permission member selects either the first display section and the second display section for display on the visual display.

  • Patent number: 5649243
Abstract: A photometric device that makes improved accuracy of screen photometry possible is disclosed. The photometric device includes a screen component that transmits a luminous flux from a subject field, a light emitting indicating device that is placed in the vicinity of the screen component and that indicates light emitting photographic information, and a photometry component that receives the transmitted luminous flux and outputs the received luminous flux as a first photometric value of the subject field. The photometric device is equipped with an adjustment device that determines a second photometric value based on a higher order or non-linear function of the first photometric value that differs from the first photometric value by a photometric value adjustment amount to compensate for the emitted light of the light emitting indicating device.

  • Patent number: 5557361
Abstract: A setting device to set camera data, including a first operating member, a first setting input device which is switched ON when the first operating member is operated, a second operating member, a second setting input device which is switched ON when the second operating member is operated, a third operating member, and a third setting input device which outputs a signal according to an operation of the third operating member. A first memory stores first setting data, and a second memory to stores second setting data. A third memory stores one of a first state which selects the first setting data and a second state which selects the second setting data. A first display displays one of the first and second setting data, according to the state stored by the third memory. A second display displays one of the first setting data stored in the first memory and the second setting data stored in the second memory, according to the content of the third memory.

  • Patent number: 4524017
Abstract: Norbornane derivatives having hydrocarbon side chains, the processes for preparing the same and perfume compositions containing the same. The norbornane derivatives are represented by the following general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein C.sub.2 is an ethyl group, an ethylidene group or a vinyl group each connected to 5 or 6 position of the norbornane ring, each of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R.sub.3 is a formyl group or a group represented by the following general formula (II) ##STR2## wherein R.sub.4 is a methyl group, an ethyl group, a n-propyl group or an isopropyl group, and X is a carbon atom of the norbornane ring. The above norbornane derivatives give a wide variety of woody fragrances and are useful as components for various perfume products.

  • Patent number: 4341665
Abstract: An acylnorbornanone acetal is represented by the formula: ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 is a saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 7 carbon atoms and R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocabon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms). The acylnorbornanone acetal is prepared by oxidizing an .alpha.-hydroxyalkylnorbornanone acetal represented by the formula: ##STR2## (wherein R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 2 to 7 carbon atoms). The perfume composition contains as a perfume component the acylnorbornanone acetal as represented above.

  • Patent number: 4331569
Abstract: The substituted norbornanones represented by general formula (I): ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 is an alkenyl group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms or an alkylidene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R.sub.2 is a saturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 7 carbon atoms with the dotted line between the two carbon atoms indicating a single bond when R.sub.1 is an alkenyl group and a double bond when R.sub.1 is an alkylidene group) are useful for perfume compositions. The substituted norbornanones represented by the general formula (I) may be prepared from the corresponding alkenyl or alkylidene norbornanones with diols in the presence of an acid catalyst.
