  • Patent number: 7131130
Abstract: The invention is a pickup mounting structure capable of executing with precision, positioning and moving position control of a pickup mounted on a base plate member, even if the thickness of the base plate member is rendered smaller. With the pickup mounting structure, a substantially rectangular opening is provided in the central part of a base plate member made of metal, and a rib is formed around the entire periphery of the opening. A holder formed integrally with the rib is provided in the central part of the opening so as to bridge across the opening, and a cable fixture member made of a synthetic resin is fitted to a flat plate part of the holder, which is rectangular. The cable fixture member is provided with pawls in such a way as to be protruded therefrom, and a cable bent substantially at a right angle is fitted among the pawls.

  • Patent number: 7065772
Abstract: To make the shape of parts simple, the transmission changeover well timed and reliable, and the size reduce, a transmission changeover mechanism in a disc apparatus includes a rotary control piece which is spring-biased to rotate in one direction, and has a transmission switching gear wheel fixed thereto. A retainer post stands on the chassis prevents rotation of the rotary control piece. A catch pin stands the rotary control piece. A cam rib is formed on lower surface of the traverse rack in confronting relation with the rotary control plate which is so configured as to make the rotary control piece release from the retainer post, and at the same time make the catch pin follow the rib contour, thereby allowing the transmission switching gear wheel to couple or decouple from the tray feeding gear wheel.

  • Patent number: 7017166
Abstract: Disclosed is a disk player using a single motor in common for driving a disk tray and optical pickup. A controlled reciprocation of the disk tray and the data-reproducing operation subsequent to withdrawal of the disk tray into the housing can be performed by an “L”-shaped guide slot made in the disk tray, a cam rod operatively connected to the “L”-shaped guide slot, and a drive switching gear assembly operatively connected to the cam rod and a first train of gears for driving the disk tray. All of these parts work together so that the single drive motor may switch and drive the first train of gears for driving the disk tray or a second train of gears for the optical pickup.

  • Patent number: 6809924
Abstract: Disclosed is a tray structure for loading in and unloading a disk from a disk drive. It comprises rearward and forward parts hinged together, thereby permitting the forward part to gravitate and incline downward when the forward part is pulled out of the disk drive. The forward part has guide pieces integrally connected to its opposite sides for mating with the guide rails of the disk drive when putting the tray structure in the disk drive. The approximately two thirds of the full length of the tray is required in taking out and putting the disk on the tray, and accordingly the space allotted to the taking-off and putting-in of the disk is much smaller than the pulling-out of the tray over its whole length.

  • Publication number: 20040163095
Abstract: The invention is intended to provide a pickup mounting structure capable of executing with precision positioning and moving position control of a pickup mounted on a base plate member even if the thickness of the base plate member is rendered smaller, and further, capable of easily forming a holder for reliably holding a wiring cable connected to the pickup. With the pickup mounting structure, an opening substantially rectangular in shape is provided in the central part of a base plate member made of metal, and a rib is formed around the entire periphery of the opening. A holder formed integrally with the rib is provided in the central part of the opening so as to bridge across the opening, and a cable fixture member made of a synthetic resin is fitted to a flat plate part of the holder, rectangular in shape. The cable fixture member is provided with pawls in such a way as to be protruded therefrom, and a cable bent substantially at a right angle is fitted among the pawls.
