    Abstract: A position detection sensor includes a plurality of position detection loop coils formed on a board made of resin through a thermal process by forming a wiring path pattern made of copper paste that includes copper powder and a binder. Each of the position detection loop coils includes a plurality of first portions that extend on a first surface of the board in a first direction and a plurality of second portions that extend on a second surface of the board in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction. The wiring path pattern is disposed on the first surface and the second surface in a connector section that connects the position detection loop coils to external circuitry. The position detection sensor is capable of maintaining accuracy even though the loop coils are formed on the board by the thermal treatment using copper paste.

    Abstract: A tightening apparatus for a dental implant includes a torque wrench and a slip detection device. The torque wrench includes a tightening part engageable with an abutment of the implant and a tightening torque detector for detecting tightening torques generated when the abutment is screwed to the fixture. The slip detection device includes a slip determiner and an indicator. The slip determiner samples an amount or rate of change of the torques detected by the torque detector in every predetermined period, to sequentially compare the amount or rate of change of the torques in a prior predetermined period with that in a subsequent predetermined period, and to determine whether or not the latter amount or rate is smaller than the former amount or rate. The indicator activates when the slip determiner determines that the latter amount or rate of change is smaller than the former amount or rate of change.

The wind guiding wall includes a forward section that protrudes forward from a front end surface of the opening of the leg shield and a rear section that has a rear end positioned adjacent to a lateral side end of the core section of the radiator.

    Abstract: Problems relating to shifting and misalignment of an ink ribbon relative to the print head as a result of changing the color used for printing with a multi-color ink ribbon are eliminated with the least possible reduction in printing throughput. The ink ribbon 13 can be wound in conjunction with print head 14 movement, and has a plurality of ink colors arranged in a direction perpendicular to the ribbon winding direction. Switching mechanisms 30 and 40 change the relative position between the print head 14 and the ink ribbon 13 in the directional perpendicular to the ink ribbon winding direction. If, after a switching mechanism changes the ink color selection, the distance l of print head movement to the next print start position accompanied by ink ribbon winding is less than a specific distance L needed to correct any misalignment of the ribbon to the print head, the controller moves the print head in a non-printing winding mode a distance of at least L−l to wind the ribbon.

    Abstract: A stepping motor control unit is capable of driving a stepping motor fast through feedback control. Slits bored in a disk fixed to a rotor of a stepping motor are located at positions that precede magnetically stable positions of the rotor in a direction of rotation of the rotor. Light passing through the slits is detected by an optical sensor, and a signal t is output thereby. The signal t is delayed by a predetermined time according to the rotating speed of the rotor and then transmitted to a control unit. The control unit receives a position detection signal earlier according to the rotating speed of the rotor. Therefore, the wait time required for switching phases can be shortened. Moreover, when the signal t is generated twice or more during a signal t detection time during which a signal t indicating a certain phase is detected, the second and subsequent signals t are ignored. Thus, incorrect detection can be avoided.

    Abstract: A printer comprising a cutting device for cutting the recording paper with a clean, straight edge is achieved. The printer comprises a pair of separable cutting blades, a fixed blade 14 and a movable blade 9, disposed with the cutting edges thereof mutually opposed in a substantially facing relationship on opposite sides of the paper exit 15 from which the recording paper is ejected. The movable blade 9 contacts fixed blade 14 at a point, and is driven with a scissors-like sliding action across fixed blade 14 by means of movable blade drive 10. Fixed blade 14 is supported on an openable cover frame 8 by support member 16 with a certain amount of play. Movable blade 9 is housed inside cutter unit frame 11. The cover frame supporting the fixed blade can be displaced between a cutting position wherein the fixed blade and the movable blade are disposed in an adjacent, substantially facing relationship and a non-cutting position wherein the fixed blade and movable blade are disposed at a distance from one another.
