  • Patent number: 5653480
Abstract: A pipe coupling is constructed such that: a pressing member is supported by an inner collar and presses an inserted pipe body in a state in which the pressing member contacts an inclined surface of an outer collar; the inclined surface of the outer collar causes the pressing member to be moved in a radial direction thereof when the pressing member moves toward a deep portion within the pipe coupling, and restricts the movement of the pressing member in the radial direction when the pressing member moves in a direction of an exit; the inner collar is urged toward the exit by an elastic member; and the outer collar is relatively movably coupled to a housing of the pipe coupling. In the case of any type of rigid pipe body, the pipe coupling can be freely and easily connected to and removed from the same.

  • Patent number: 4366552
Abstract: A postal charge processing system includes a weight measuring unit for measuring the weight of a postal parcel and producing weight data corresponding to the measured weight, a keyboard having a plurality of keys selectively operated to set postal conditions, a memory for storing postal condition data produced in accordance with key-in operations in the keyboard, and a data processing unit for calculating the postal charge based on the weight data from the weight measuring unit and the postal condition data stored in the memory and subsequently clearing the postal condition data stored in the memory. It further includes a counter, which functions to count up one count in response to a count-up signal produced from the data processing unit upon detection of the removal of the postal parcel from the measuring unit on the basis of the weight data from the measuring unit after completion of calculation of the postal charge in the data processing unit.

  • Patent number: 4351033
Abstract: A postal charge processing system includes a measuring unit for measuring the weight of a postal parcel and producing weight data corresponding to the measured weight, a plurality of keys for setting postal conditions including the way of mail and region of destination and a data processing unit for calculating the postal charge on the basis of postal condition data generated by selective operation of the plurality of keys and weight data supplied from the measuring unit. It further includes a memory for storing at least part of the postal condition data produced with the selective key operation and a repetition key. When the repetition key is operated, it permits the data processing unit to read out the postal condition data from the memory and calculate the postal charge based on the read-out postal condition data and weight data supplied from the measuring unit.

  • Patent number: 4349891
Abstract: A postal charge processing system includes a data processing unit for calculating the postal charge for a postal parcel based on the weight of the postal parcel and the postal condition including the way of mailing and region of mailing destination, and displaying the calculated postal charge data on a display unit. The postal charge processing system further includes a stamp fee entry key and numeral keys, and the data processing unit compares the calculated postal charge data and stamp fee data generated in accordance with the operation of the stamp fee entry key and numeral keys, calculates the difference between the postal charge data and the stamp fee data and displays the difference on the display unit when the stamp fee data is smaller than the calculated postal charge data.

  • Patent number: 4339807
Abstract: A postal charge processing system, which comprises a postal charge calculator for calculating the postal charge of a postal parcel from weight data corresponding to the weight of said postal parcel and post condition data concerning post conditions for the postal parcel including the way of mail and region of destination. A memory, numeral keys which are operated when writing a desired fee data in said memory, a clear key for clearing the data in the memory, a meter stanp issue key operated when issuing a meter stamp corresponding to the data in the memory and a meter stamp issuing unit including a data processing unit for controlling the memory in accordance with the operative state of the afore-said various keys, is provided. The data processing unit is set to a clear key lock state at the time when a predetermined bit of charge data calculated by the calculator is transferred therefrom to the memory, and in this state it nullifies key-in data produced with the operation of the clear key.

  • Patent number: 4326254
Abstract: A postal charge processing system includes a data processing unit calculating the postal charge of a postal parcel from weight data representing the weight of the postal parcel and postal condition data about postal conditions such as the way of mailing and region of mailing destination and means for displaying the postal charge thus obtained on a charge display unit while displaying the weight data on a weight display unit. It also includes a memory for storing the maximum permissible weight data and an overweight display unit, and the data processing unit calculates the difference between the measured weight data and the maximum permissible weight data stored in the memory when it is detected that the former weight data is greater in value than the latter and supplies the weight difference data thus obtained to the overweight display unit for display thereon.

  • Patent number: 4212074
Abstract: A weight measuring apparatus comprises a load cell for generating an analog signal corresponding to load applied, and A/D converter for converting an output signal from the load cell into a digital signal, a data processing unit which periodically reads a digital output signal out from the A/D converter to successively write the digital output signal into a first memory area of the memory and produces data corresponding to the weight of load applied to the load cell on the basis of plurality of digital data stored in the first memory area of the memory to write the data into a second memory area of the memory, and a display unit for displaying the data from the data processing unit. The data processing unit compares a plurality of digital data stored in the first memory area. As a result of the comparison, when a given number of or more digital data having the same values are included in the digital data stored in the first memory area, the digital data is produced as output data.
