  • Patent number: 10181741
Abstract: A storage battery device according to the present disclosure includes a storage unit accumulating charge, an attachment unit attachable to an electronic device, and a controller charging the storage unit by a first current value when the storage battery device is attached to the electronic device via the attachment unit, and charging the storage unit by a second current value lower than the first current value when the storage battery device is not attached to the electronic device via the attachment unit.

  • Publication number: 20100198537
Abstract: A video camera 101 includes a liquid crystal monitor 102 and charging microcomputer 103. The charging microcomputer 103 includes a battery remaining capacity detector 13a, a timer 13b, and a usable time calculating section 13c. The usable time calculating section 13c is configured to: (i) calculate a remaining usable time based on a value regarding a remaining capacity of a battery 201 detected by the battery remaining capacity detector 13a and a value regarding a current consumption of the video camera 101, during a period from when the video camera 101 starts operating using the battery 201 until the remaining usable time of the battery reaches a predetermined threshold time, and (ii) calculate the remaining usable time based on an operating time measured by the timer, during a period from after the remaining usable time becomes less than the threshold time until the remaining usable time becomes zero.

  • Publication number: 20100052608
Abstract: During charging of a battery, the start-up of the main body of an apparatus due to the switching on of a controller leads to increased consumption of power and also leads to heating of the battery, and therefore it is not possible to pass a sufficient charging current. A main microcomputer 5 serving as a main control apparatus, a charging IC 2 that performs charging of a battery 6, and a charging microcomputer 3 are provided. The charging microcomputer 3 monitors the operation of the main microcomputer 5, and the charging microcomputer 3 prohibits the charging operation by the charging IC 2 if the main microcomputer 5 is operating, and permits the charging operation by the charging IC 2 if the main microcomputer 5 is not operating.
