  • Publication number: 20040094857
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a molded product with an improved quality. A metal core is set at a predetermined position in a mold. Then, the mold is closed, a first liquid containing a releasing agent and a solvent is injected into the cavity, and the cavity is depressurized. This forms a uniform releasing agent layer on the wall surface of the cavity. Then, a mold-coat layer, which provides a surface layer of the molded product, is formed on the releasing agent layer, a molding material for forming a molding layer is injected in the cavity, and the mold is opened.

  • Patent number: 6569365
Abstract: A semi-rigid integral skin foam having a low foamed integral skin layer and a highly foamed core is molded from a polyurethane formulation injected into a mold cavity having a reduced pressure of 400 Torr or below. The formulation comprises a polyol component, an isocyanate component, and at least one substance selected from among formic acid, an amine salt thereof and an amine salt of boric acid, while not containing any freon.

  • Patent number: 6455147
Abstract: A reaction-injected foam molding comprising a skin coating film formed by the in-mold coating method and having an elongation at break of 20-200% (JIS K 6400: No. 1 dumb-bell test specimen) and a urethane foam body obtained by reaction injection molding and having a density of 0.35-0.60 g/cm3. Said molding permits easy removal of flashes even though the urethane foam body is of a high ratio expansion with a density of 0.35-0.60 g/cm3.
