  • Publication number: 20240088797
Abstract: An electric power converter converts electric power supplied from a power supply to an electrical load. The electric power converter includes a coil, an electrically conductive portion and a current sensor. The coil extends in an axial direction of the coil. The coil allows a current to flow through the coil. The electrically conductive portion is located at a position apart from the coil. The electrically conductive portion allows the current to flow through the electrically conductive portion. The current sensor detects the current flowing through the electrically conductive portion. The current sensor includes a first sensor element and a second sensor element, each of which detects a magnetic flux being a detected magnetic flux generated by the current flowing through the electrically conductive portion. The first sensor element and the second sensor element are disposed in a radial direction of the coil.

  • Patent number: 6517397
Abstract: An induction system for a watercraft includes a first intake air chamber communicating with at least one combustion chamber of an engine of the watercraft, and a second intake air chamber communicating with the first intake air chamber via a conduit. The second intake air chamber may be arranged in various orientations and/or with various other features which improve attenuation of induction noises and/or the preclusion of water from entering the engine through the induction system.

  • Patent number: 5676575
Abstract: A number of exhaust systems for watercraft propelled by a propulsion unit contained within a tunnel formed in the underside of the hull. This tunnel has an opening through the side of the hull and exhaust gases are delivered to the tunnel from the engine through an exhaust system having an exhaust opening communicating with the tunnel. Various flow controlling arrangements are provided for controlling the flow through one or all of the openings so as to assist in exhaust silencing without significantly increasing back pressure.

  • Patent number: 4881370
Abstract: An improved exhaust system and bearing arrangement for a small displacement outboard motor that is rotatable through substantially 360 degrees for reverse operation. The drive shaft housing is formed with a reduced diameter cylindrical portion that is journaled within the swivel bracket by a bearing arrangement comprised of plastic elements and O-ring elements. The engine has an exhaust system with an exhaust pipe that at least in part encircles the drive shaft and which extends into the drive shaft housing below at least one the bearings to provide sufficient length for tuning and to avoid undue heating of the bearing.
