Abstract: An image search apparatus includes a hard disk. A plurality of images photographed by a surveillance camera are recorded on the hard disk with luminance information. When an arbitrary image is selected as a reference image from among the plurality of images recorded on the hard disk, and an arbitrary area of the reference image is designated as a search area, a CPU calculates a difference value of the luminance information of the search area between the reference image and each of other images. Furthermore, the CPU specifies an image in which the calculated difference value exceeds a threshold value from among the other images, and the specified image is displayed on the display.

Abstract: A data transfer apparatus includes a network controller. A transfer request from a client is accepted by the network controller. A CPU transfers image data according to the accepted transfer request to a client as a request source via an available socket out of five sockets belonging to the network controller. The CPU further determines whether or not the number of data transfer operations simultaneously executed is below each of the number of sockets of the network controller and the number of sockets of the client as a request source. The data transfer operation is acceptable when a determination result is affirmative.

Abstract: A surveillance camera system includes a multiplexer. A camera switch circuit provided on the multiplexer selects each of a plurality of surveillance cameras in a time-division manner. An image processing circuit included in the multiplexer fetches a photographed image signal output from a selected surveillance camera, and adds VBI information having a recording bit of “1” to the photographed image signal at a timing according to a recording mode setting. An HDR recodes the photographed image signal in a hard disk when the recording bit included in the VBI information is “1”.
