    Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is disclosed which can reduce the device amount of a receiving circuit, while obtaining the shape of an excellent received beam. In this ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, a plurality of transducer elements are arrayed and used as an ultrasonic probe, and the transducer elements are driven by a plurality of transmission driving circuit. The signal received by the transducer element is distributed to any of a plurality of input terminals of a cross point switch beam former. The received signals of the three transducer elements near the center of the aperture of the ultrasonic probe are added and inputted to one terminal of a beam former. The second, fourth and sixth transducer elements at the end of the aperture are not connected to the beam former. The signals received by the transducer elements are delay-added by the beam former. The delay precision can be improved, and the beam shape can be made sharper, thereby improving the image quality of the ultrasonic image.

    Abstract: In general, the invention provides a magnetic head device and linear tape drive that increase the resonant frequency and the range of a servo system. In particular, the invention provides a magnetic head device comprising a magnetic head chip with multiple magnetic head elements that is a structural part of the fine positioning system which allows the magnetic head elements follow the data tracks on the linear magnetic tape. Consequently, weight is reduced thereby increasing the resonant frequency and servo bandwidth. In another embodiment, the invention provides a magnetic head comprising bimodal actuators that are formed into an S shape and displaced by applying voltage where the polarization direction is opposite from one end to the other. In particular, the head chip may remain stable and may be driven dynamically thereby allowing the mechanical resonance of the bimodal actuator (including the head chip) to increase to 1 kHz or higher.

In particular, the invention provides a magnetic head device comprising a magnetic head chip with multiple magnetic elements arranged for recording or playback of multiple tracks and a fine positioning structure that uses a bimodal construction that may widen the high frequency side of the servo range by increasing the resonant frequency of the magnetic head chip including the tracking structure and lowering the Q value of the resonance point. In addition, the invention includes a damping structure suitable for the fine positioning structure that improves high speed response by widening the range in which the magnetic head device can be used for a servo. The magnetic head device may use a linear tape drive method.

On the other hand, band-like assist air flows are jetted in a two-dimensional manner from slit-like air holes opened on the opposite sides of the fuel flow separating holes to impinge obliquely against the jetted fuel. Atomization of fuel jetted through the plurality of fuel flow separating holes is thereby promoted and fuel sprays are accurately separated and supplied independently in two directions toward two intake valves while the directions of jets from the injection ports of the fuel injection valve are maintained, thus injecting and supplying fuel.

    Abstract: A hard facing chromium-base alloy consisting essentially of 30.0 to 48.0% by weight of nickel. 1.5 to 15.0% by weight of tungsten and/or 1.0 to 6.5% by weight of molybdenum, the balance being more than 40.0% by weight of chromium, and the maximum sum of tungsten and molybdenum being 15.0% by weight. The alloy may also contain one or more of iron, cobalt, carbon, boron, aluminum, silicon, niobium and titanium. When the alloy is used in powder form as a material for hard facing by welding, the alloy may further contain 0.01 to 0.12% by weight of aluminum, yttrium, misch metal, titanium, zirconium and hafnium. 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of oxygen may also be added to the alloy. The alloy has a high degree of toughness wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The alloy can be used as a hard facing material to be applied to various objects, such as automobile engine valves.
