  • Patent number: 6598719
Abstract: A belt-type one-way clutch is arranged so that a case is assembled with a flat pulley so as to rotate around the central axis of the flat pulley, and that a flat belt is looped between a working surface of a rocking member supported for rocking motion by a shaft member held at both ends in shaft bores of the case and a working surface of the flat pulley, and that the rocking plate biased from a leaf spring presses one span of the flat belt to place an initial tension on the flat belt. Both the ends of the shaft member are held in the shaft bores of the case via respective bushes to suppress stress. Accordingly, larger torque can be transmitted despite use of aluminum alloy as material of the case.

In this one-way clutch, both the ends of the shaft member are held in the shaft bores of the case via respective bushes that cover the corresponding side surfaces of both the ends of the shaft member, which suppresses stress produced due to concentration of load thrown by the shaft member. Accordingly, larger torque can be transmitted while constraints placed due to use of aluminum alloy as material of the case for its weight reduction can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 5462492
Abstract: In a continuous speed-shifting device in which a variable speed pulley mechanism and a planetary gear mechanism are combined with each other, respective cam mechanisms are provided on respective back sides of movable sheaves of variable speed pulleys of the variable speed pulley mechanism so as to move the sheaves toward and away from fixed sheaves of the variable speed pulleys, a linkage mechanism for linking both the cam mechanisms to each other is provided so that the diameters at which the belt is wound around both the pulleys are varied in a reverse direction to each other, the variable speed pulley mechanism is shifted in speed in such a manner that an output gear for supporting a pinion of the planetary gear mechanism is switched among a normal rotation state, a neutral state and a reverse rotation states with respect to a rotary shaft, the output gear is adjustable to the neutral state by a balance between the thrusts to the belt by both the pulleys, and the variable speed pulley mechanism serves as a
