Patent number: 11598381Abstract: Provided is a clutch that is able to not only transmit torque smoothly even when an input shaft and an output shaft significantly differ in relative speed and phase, but also reduce an energy loss during torque transmission. The clutch (10) includes a dog clutch (40) for transmitting forward or reverse torque from the input shaft (11) to the output shaft (12), and a friction clutch (20) for transmitting torque from the input shaft (11) to the output shaft (12) and disposed in parallel with the dog clutch (40), and selectively transmits or interrupts torque between the input shaft (11) and the output shaft (12).Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2017Date of Patent: March 7, 2023Assignee: UNIVANCE CORPORATIONInventors: Tadahiko Kato, Hideya Ooike, Yoshihiro Asada

Patent number: 10968960Abstract: Provided is a transmission which eliminates torque loss during gear shift and with which the processing of components can be simplified. An axial force is generated in a protrusion by means of a first portion during gear shift from a low gear to a high gear, and when a low-speed transmission gear and a clutch ring separate from each other, a high speed transmission gear and the clutch ring interlock. Since relative movement of the protrusion in a neutral direction is suppressed by means of a first retaining portion during coasting, gear disengagement whereby the transmission gears and the clutch ring separate from each other can be suppressed. Since the first retaining portion can be formed in a first wall when providing a groove portion, an increase in the component processing workload can be suppressed.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2015Date of Patent: April 6, 2021Assignee: UNIVANCE CORPORATIONInventors: Yoshihiro Asada, Kensuke Suzuki

Patent number: 4529638Abstract: A thermal insulator comprises an expanded resin body having embedded therein an evacuated powder insulation portion which consists of fine powder and a container of film-like plastics or a film-like composite of plastics and metal for enclosing the powder. The resin body has been expanded by a Freon gas as a blowing agent. Since a Freon gas has a larger molecular diameter than the constituent gases of air, it is less likely to permeate through the container than air. Thus present invention provides a novel composite insulator which fully utilizes the benefits of vacuum insulation without necessitating a strong and costly material for a vacuum container.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1981Date of Patent: July 16, 1985Assignees: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., Matsushita Reiki Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ryoichi Yamamoto, Yoshihiro Matsuo, Masanari Mikoda, Yoshihiro Asada
