    Abstract: An X-ray imaging apparatus capable of covering outer peripheral portions of a fixed and moving supporting columns by a cover even when an SID is set to be large in a configuration in which an imaging system is rotated about an axis extending in a horizontal direction. The supporting column mechanism is provided with a fixed supporting column and a moving supporting column. A fixed cover is arranged at the outer peripheral portion of the fixed supporting column. A moving cover which moves together with the moving supporting column is arranged. An intermediate cover movable in the same direction as the moving cover is arranged between the fixed cover and the moving cover. Between the fixed supporting column and the moving cover, a constant force spring as an energizing member for energizing the intermediate cover to the side of the fixed cover is arranged.

The adhesive is applied a at least to each adhering area of the yoke housing that is to be adhered to the corresponding magnet or to an adhering area of the each magnet that is to be adhered to the yoke housing. The adhesive is spread to the adhering areas of the yoke housing and each magnet by sliding the adhering areas on each other. Therefore, the magnets are firmly fixed to the yoke housing with a small amount of adhesive.

    Abstract: A fuzzy controller is provided which enables even an unskilled operator to easily adjust various conditions in a glass pipe sealing process. The fuzzy controller has a fuzzy control processor including an image processing unit for processing and calculating image information as a softened state change value of the glass pipe and a combustion state value of burner flame, and a fuzzy control processing unit for calculating and outputting, by receiving a result of this calculation, a suitable control value for controlling parameters relating to the burner flame by fuzzy inference. The fuzzy controller may further has a fuzzy diagnosis support processor which, if there is an abnormality in the sealed portion of the glass pipe and if the state of the glass pipe after sealing is input to the manipulation instruction data input support processor by the operator, automatically ascertains the cause of the abnormality by using fuzzy inference and displays it on a CRT.
