    Abstract: The present invention relates to a clip made of a resin or similar material, which clip is designed to be secured to an edge of a window portion of a vehicle panel for fixing window glass in said portion and also fitted with a molding. The clip is provided with a protuberance and an engaging portion for properly mounting and fixing window glass and molding. The clip of the present device is especially characterized by a pair of elastic guide protrusions formed at both side ends of said protuberance so as to extend therefrom upwardly of window glass and also so designed that they can be housed in said molding.

    Abstract: A mounting apparatus for a fixed vehicle window includes a retention member, a molding member, and a sealing member. The retention member is secured to an interior portion of a vehicle body for supporting the window glass. The retention member includes a base plate portion secured to the interior portion and a side plate portion extending outward from the base plate poriton, the side plate portion extending between the interior poriton of the vehicle body and the window glass. The retention member also includes a retention plate extending from the side plate portion and aligned along an inner surface of the window glass for limiting movement toward the vehicle body. In addition, a projection plate extends from the side plate portion and terminates along an end surface of the window glass for restricting the window glass from sliding relative to the retention plate portion.

    Abstract: A window glass in a motor vehicle having fixed mouldings covering an outer peripheral end edge of the window glass. The fixed mouldings are solidly secured to the window glass along the bottom side and one of the vertical sides of the window glass. A plurality of retainers are arranged at suitable intervals along the fixed mouldings on the inner side of the outer peripheral end edge of the window glass and fixed to a window frame. A plurality of clip assemblies are coupled to the window frame from the outside at suitable intervals at positions adjacent the outer surface of the outer peripheral end edge of the window glass. The clip assemblies press the outer peripheral end edge of a top side of the window glass and one of the vertical sides of the window glass. Moulding covers the clip assemblies, the outer peripheral end edge of the top side of the window glass, and one of the vertical sides of the window glass, and is secured to the clip assemblies from the outside.

    Abstract: A clip device for fixing a window glass in a motor vehicle comprises a body side clip secured to the vehicle body at a position adjacent an outer peripheral edge of the window glass, a screw threadably coupled to the body side clip, a clip body fixed to the body side clip by means of the screw and having a forward end portion extending away from the screw for pressing the outer peripheral edge of the window glass, and a retainer tightened and fixed together with the clip body to the body side clip by means of the screw from the outside of the clip body. The forward end portion of the clip body is formed into a thin wall projection, and the forward end portion of said retainer is brought into contact with the outer surface of the forward end portion of the clip body and extends away from the screw and toward the center of the window glass farther than the forward end portion of the body. The window glass is pressed toward the vehicle body by means of the forward end portion of the retainer.
